weekly weigh in

New to this thread, but I've been dieting for a long time. Prednisone makes me gain weight that doesn't go away when I am off of it. Not that I am off of it.

I've lost 20 lbs in the last year, very slowly. You are supposed to lose not more than 1 lb a week, or the hypothalamus will go into overdrive and try to make you eat more. Been there, done that.

Since I am still on prednisone, and the goal is to get off of it, I am going to be going back to an old med, methotrexate. I went off of it 7 years ago, because it was driving my liver enzymes sky high. And hurting. So the liver specialist said lose 50 lbs or I won't be able to go on it.

Catch is, I need the prednisone, until the mthx works. So very, very slow weight loss and fighting cravings for salt.

So rather than tell you how obese I am, I am just going to tell you I have lost 3 lbs since I saw the liver specialist at the end of July. Slow as molasses, 47 lbs to go!

I suggest you walk down to the local Rexall Drugs, buy yourself some baseball cards with sugar free bubble gum, order yourself a double chocolate sundae, extra cherries, and a Huckleberry Fizz, and a bag of popcorn, head on home, and then take a nap.

Yep....That should be the plan....Walk....Rexall....Nap....

I'm stuck between 154 and 155. With winter coming, it is going to be hard to stay at this weight. At least now i can fit into most of my winter clothes.

I'd be dead in no time from that. It is finny, in a way, some persons can gain ten pounds and it hardly shows, but others, like me, blow yo like a balloon! I need to keep walking now that cold wealth is chilling my pool at night.

I'm concerned with your recent fall off , fella. I mean, you've been 172.22 since your high school days when "Rhinestone Cowboy" was the #1 song.
