So, for the heck of it, here it goes. I wish I'd started this thread in the heyday of participation, but that's life for you. Things were still humming along six years ago, though the original thread, Observations, had about a quarter million views on about 3k posts, so the traffic here was crazy between 2007 and 2010 or so. Anyway...here goes.

    Town Quixote's

2013: 900 posts and 32,464 views, 36.1 Views Per Post Avg.

    2014: 743 posts and 38,238 views, 52.1 VPPA

    2015: 789 posts and 57,518 views, 72.9

    2016: 523 posts and 43,497 views, 83.2

    2017: 188 posts and 28,489 views, 151.5

    2018: 104 posts and 8,095 views, 77.8

    2019: 118 posts and 11,232 views, 95.2

This thread did about 4k business on around 60 posts between this time last year to now. About 65.8 views per.

A Momentary Life did 6,771 views on 140 new posts for 48.4 vp
So post count has been going down since 2013, but view count was started to diminish around 2015 or so, and, at least so far, it looks like post count is starting to go back up, at least for the moment, and average views per post is roughly average.

Seems like we're back on an uptick!

I "dis" nobody. I'm above such things...in fact I hardly "nodis" trolls anymore...

    So confusing. Nice, but confusing.

    Jan. - Mar. 2018

January - 60 posts were reported and 15 Mod actions were taken. That's 25% of the reports acted upon.
February - 75 posts were reported and 21 Mod actions were taken. That's 28% of the reports acted upon.
March - 49 posts were reported and 13 Mod actions were taken. That's 27% of the reports acted upon.

Now let's compare it to the same period this year.

January - 133 posts were reported and 18 Mod actions were taken. That's 13.5% of the reports acted upon.
February - 75 posts were reported and 16 Mod actions were taken. That's 21% of the reports acted upon.
March - 59 posts were reported and 38 Mod actions were taken. That's 64% of the reports acted upon.

And that's how it has gone so far, despite a decline in posts and participation. Mostly it's on account of a new mod who seems to favor a much heavier hand than we had here before. What the impact of that will be remains to be seen, as does whether or not the new guy will continue with the habit (which began in March).

I'm wondering if you've kept track of the mod actions when no post was reported. Those that were just done on mod initiative alone. There's probably no way to keep track of all warnings or threats.
