No Matter How Small

This is the show from Monday March 17th, 2008.

BEST QUOTE OF THE SHOW:
The chemical abortifacients that are so common that National Right to Life has abandoned those victims, not only the victims of the kids being killed by them, but then the women who are in an increasing way susceptible to sexual abuse, sexual assault and even to be simply coerced by boyfriends and breaking down the inhibition because, "Come on! Come on! If anything happens just take this pill! And that's it!" And your daughter is turned into a tramp...

SUMMARY:

* National RTL Abandons Smallest Victims: Reporting on a sexual assault in Utah of a 13-year-old girl who was then given the Morning After pill by her rapist, Bob urges listeners to look at Steve Curtis' 60-second TV ad, The Next Big Lie, warning people about the youngest victims of chemical abortion, the younger and younger girls who use Plan B, and the unborn kids they kill, all abandoned by the child-killing regulators at National RTL.

* A Person is a Person: Bob discusses the Personhood campaign's stop at the Denver premier of Horton! From Friday's show description: During the premier of the Dr. Seuss movie, Horton hears a Who, Bob joined the Colorado for Equal Rights petitioning event at the opening of the animated version of the classic children's story that ends with the line, "A person is a person, no matter how small." Watch the excellent Denver 9News report! One woman, Susan from Denver, brought a stack of filled out petitions with 940 signatures to Kristi Burton at the premier!

* Judie Brown Challenges Bishops: Georgia, Montana, and Colorado Catholic bishops are opposing their states' personhood efforts, and Judie Brown challenges their position with an article on Alan Keyes website. And by the way, according to John Lofton of the American View, Alan Keyes may be planning to leave the Republican Party.

Today's Resource: Have you heard about the BEL special of two MP3 CDs of Bob Enyart's audio teaching of The Plot and The Tree for one price of $49.99? The Plot: Every story has a plot, and a story's details can be confusing unless you understand its overview. The Bible tells the story of human history and the work of God for His creation, and this story has a plot as well! Grasping the big picture will help you reconcile many seemingly contradictory and controversial Bible passages. Achieve a fuller understanding of God's plan from Genesis to Revelation and equip yourself to share God's Word with friends and family. Consider listening to The Plot series based on Bob's manuscript of the same title. Then enjoy Bob's book studies and see how the big picture can help you to better know the living God. The Tree: For thirty five years Bob Enyart has studied God's Word praying for the wisdom to share the truth of Scripture with a lost and dying world. Now you can benefit from this very exciting Bible study. The Tree CD will take you back to the Garden of Eden to examine the legacy and impact of this famous tree on humanity. Find out where the tree is today and what its final destination will be. After listening to the prerequisite, The Plot, Bible, the Bible studies on The Tree CD will entertain, excite and challenge you toward godly living!

Forgive me if this was discussed anywhere else but I went to "thedenverchannel" website as linked on the most recent kgov site and saw something that might be a cause for confusion.

On the website it states:

"The amendment would define life as beginning at the time a woman’s egg is fertilized".

But in the video it says:

"...at the point of conception."

On the American Right to Life Action website it says:

"...which includes from the moment of fertilization..."

Recently I attended a local church where Dr. David Menton, Answers In Genesis, gave his presentation titled "Fearfully and Wodnerfully Made" (which can be viewed for free by clicking here).

Although not in the video, but in his actual lecture, he compared an older medical dictionary to a recent one and showed how the word "conception" had been redefined.

My questions are:

(1) Could the use of conception by the media and fertilization by pro-life groups be a point of confusion at some time in the future?

(2) If the medical dictionaries are written again and re-define what is meant by fertilization, what effect could that have?

Just wondering.

I think that's one of the goals of the pro-aborts, to confuse the issue.

They already redefined the definition of conception but in order to redefine "fertilization" they would have to invent another word that describes it. I don't see them getting away with that but I'm sure they'll give it their best shot. If they succeed, then sure, it could make personhood legislation ineffective.

Plan B is not an abortifacient (according to the Center for Inquiry).

To elaborate on my previous post I wanted to submit this paper as evidence that pro-aborts will continue to redefine in order to confuse the issue.

Beginning on page 7 but concentrated on page 9 the claim is made that Plan B is not an abortifacient even though "it may prevent...implantation of the blastocyst" but then it goes on to describe that a blasocyst is a fertilized egg in which cell differentiation has begun. But...because "pregnant" has been redefined...preventing the implantation of a fertilized egg is not an abortion. Again...it is because of a re-defining of vocabulary to confuse people.

I am on the email list for the center for inquiry and receive their updates. The following is the email I received asking me to support an end to abstinence education because "poor people" keep having babies they can't take care of.

Over $1.5 billion has been wasted on abstinence-only-until-marriage sex education programs. In his 2009 Fiscal Year budget request, President Bush has asked for an additional $141 million in abstinence-only education. Not only have these programs proven ineffective, but often times by disseminating medically inaccurate information our nation's young people are harmed. Did you know one in four young women in the U.S. has a sexually transmitted disease today. Its time for REAL sex education in our schools. Congressional reports found no evidence that abstinence-only programs increased rates of sexual abstinence.
Congress needs to stop wasting federal dollars on ineffective programs and start funding programs that actually work! Tell your members of Congress that enough is enough! Write your member asking them to stop funding abstinence-only education and to start funding comprehensive sex education!
