:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7

:poly:

By Faith in Christ I Walk With God

By faith in Christ I walk with God,
With Heav’n, my journey’s end, in view;
Supported by His staff and rod,
My road is safe and pleasant too.
I travel through a desert wide
Where many round me blindly stray;
But He vouchsafes to be my Guide,
And will not let me miss my way.

Though snares and dangers throng my path,
And earth and hell my course withstand;
I triumph over all by faith,
Guarded by His almighty hand.
The wilderness affords no food,
But God for my support prepares;
Provides me every needful good,
And frees my soul from wants and cares.

With Him sweet converse I maintain,
Great as He is I dare be free;
I tell Him all my grief and pain,
And He reveals His love to me.
Some cordial from His Word He brings,
Whene’er my feeble spirit faints;
Be this my choice, O Lord, to walk
With Thee, my Guide, my Guard, my Friend.

Praise the Lord!

Hide me under the shadow of Your wings.
Psalm 17:8

:poly:

Thou Tender, Gracious Father

Thou tender, gracious Father, Who watches over me,
How shall I ever praise Thee, how love and honor Thee?
Thou guidest me with caution from every secret snare,
And ’neath Thy wings a refuge I find in my despair.

With raiment, food and shelter, whate’er my needs imply,
For soul and body ever, do Thou in grace supply.
O Lord, I soon would perish if aught Thou should exclude;
O could I love Thee better and prove my gratitude.

In childlike, true obedience help me to do the right;
May precious be Thy statutes, Thy yoke be pleasant light!
And when some hardship threatens, a danger frightens me,
May Thou in all my trials my present helper be.

Thy heart is all compassion, with love it overflows;
Whate’er of ill betide me, Thou knowest, and my woes.
Thou dost not sleep nor slumber, by night nor thru the days;
Thine arms, almighty Father, enfold all time and space.

Praise the Lord!

To stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening.
1 Chronicles 23:30

:poly:

On Thee Each Morning, O My God

On Thee each morning, O my God, my waking thoughts attend;
In whom are founded all my hopes, in whom my desires end.
My soul, in pleading wonder lost, Thy boundless love surveys,
And fired with grateful zeal prepares Her sacrifice of praise.

When evening slumbers press my eyes, with Thy protection blest,
In peace and safety I commit my life in Thee to rest.
My spirit in Thy hands secure fears no approaching ill;
For whether waking or asleep Thou, Lord, art with me still.

Then will I daily to the world Thy wondrous acts proclaim;
Whilst all with me shall praises sing and bless Thy sacred name.
At morn, at noon, at night I’ll still the growing work pursue;
And Thee alone wilt praise, to whom eternal praise is due.

Evening Praise the Lord.

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

The day is Yours, the night also is Yours.
Psalm 74:16

:poly:

Father, By Thy Love and Power

Father, by Thy love and power comes again the evening hour;
Light has vanished, labors cease, weary creatures rest in peace;
Thou, whose genial dews distill on the lowliest weed that grows
Father, guard our couch from ill, lull Thy children to repose,
We to Thee ourselves resign, let our latest thoughts be Thine.

Savior, to Thy Father bear this our feeble evening prayer;
Thou hast seen how oft today we, like sheep, have gone astray;
Worldly thoughts, and thoughts of pride, wishes to Thy cross untrue,
Secret faults and undescried, meet Thy spirit-piercing view;
Blessèd Savior, yet, through Thee, grant that we may pardoned be.

Holy Spirit, breath of balm fall on us in evening’s calm;
Yet a while, before we sleep, we with Thee will vigils keep;
Lead us on our sins to muse, give us truest penitence;
Then the love of God infuse, breathing humble confidence;
Melt our spirits, mold our will, soften, strengthen, comfort still.

Blessèd Trinity, be near, through the hours of darkness drear;
Then, when shrinks the lonely heart, Thou more clearly present art;
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, watch o’er our defenseless heads;
Let Thy angels’ guardian host keep all evil from our beds,
Till the flood of morning rays wake us to a song of praise.

Praise the Lord!

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2

:poly:

Bear You One Another’s Burdens

Bear you one another’s burdens, as you struggle on thro’ life;
Turn not on your erring brother, add not to his care and strife;
Let your heart beat kindly for him, for this world with sin is rife.
If his burden be so heavy that he stoops beneath the care,
Help him bear it, of your vigor, give him as you well can spare.

Wipe away the tears of sorrow falling from his weary eyes;
Point him to a joy eternal, in the land beyond the skies,
Ere his pining heart in anguish, bitter, hopeless anguish, dies.
Sympathy and love can brighten burdens that are hard to bear;
Angels bright will help you nobly, angels from the land so fair.

Wrap not close your mantle ’round you Mantle dark, of selfish pride;
In your bosom, gentle impulse do not strive to crush or hide;
There is much of good and evil in this world so broad and wide.
Much for willing hearts of labor, much of good there is to do;
Then arouse! leave not the burden bearing heavy on the few.

Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you.
Psalm 55:22

:poly:

He Knows

Oh, aching heart, with sorrow torn,
Thy Lord is near and knows;
He knows it all the feet way worn,
The weary cares and woes,
The load of grief in anguish borne,
The Lord is near, He knows.

Oh, fainting soul, with doubts oppressed,
Thy Lord is near and knows;
He knows it all how thou art pressed
On every side with foes;
He waits to be thy cherished guest;
The Lord is near, He knows.

Oh, weary head, that fain would rest,
Thy Lord is near and knows;
He knows it all, and on His breast
Thou mayest now repose;
Drop every care at His behest,
The Lord is near, He knows.

Oh, lonely one, live thou thy best,
Thy Lord is near and knows;
He knows it all, sees every test,
Yes, every tear that flows;
Rejoice, faint heart, His way is best,
Thy Lord is near, He knows.

In His love and in His pity He redeemed them.
Isaiah 63:9

:poly:

Thy Boundless Love

Behold the precious Lamb of God,
Who died upon the tree,
That guilty sinners, such as I,
Might thro’ His grace be free.

Behold the healing streams of grace,
That from His side did flow;
I plunged beneath the crimson flood,
That washes white as snow.

Behold the cross He bore for me,
Whereby He saved my soul;
His matchless grace shall be my theme,
While countless ages roll.

Thy boundless love I’ll sing,
Thy grace so full and free,
’Tis under Thy protecting wing,
My soul delights to be.

An Evening Praise the Lord

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians. 4:16-17

Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:18

:poly:

What a Greeting

On the great eternal morning, when we’ll hear the trumpet blast,
When eternal day is dawning and the night of sin is past;
When we see the Savior coming in His glorious array,
Hallelujah! what a greeting there will be that day!

When the sun of righteousness shall rise above the eastern hills,
When its golden rays in splendor glitter o’er the rocks and rills,
On that resurrection morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
We will shout to meet each other yonder in the skies.

There will be no sin or evil, and the tempter will be bound;
In the place of grief and sorrow shouts of glory will resound;
We shall reign with Christ a thousand years, His face we then shall see;
Hallelujah! what a time of glory that will be!

What a greeting, what a meeting,
When our Savior we shall see by and by!
What a greeting, what a meeting,
When the blessed Savior comes in the sky!

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.
Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

Psalm 149:1 ~ Psalm 149:3

:poly:

Sunday Morning Praise

Praise His Name Forever

Glory, honor, majesty and power
Be to Him now risen from the dead,
Who from death hath taken every terror,
And hath made the grave a victor’s bed.

Songs of joy we sing in exultation,
Of our king, Redeemer, Lord of all!
For He lives, o’er sin and death victorious;
Earth and Heav’n His mighty deeds extol.

Angels praise Him, in the highest glory,
Cherubim and seraphim adore;
While our human hearts awake the chorus,
Jesus lives! He lives forevermore!

Praise His name forever,
Lift up the voice in honor of our risen king!
Mighty to deliver,
With angels we His praise will sing.

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

I was blind, now I see.
John 9:25

:poly:

Praise God For What He’s Done For Me!

Praise God for what He’s done for me!
Once I was blind, but now I see;
I on the brink of ruin fell,
Glory to God! I’m out of hell.

The Lord has pardoned all my sin,
And now to praise Him I’ll begin;
I never praised the Lord before,
But now I’ll praise Him more and more.

I spurned His grace, I broke His laws,
But Jesus undertook my cause;
Bad as I was, He cleansed my soul,
Healed my disease, and made me whole.

Praise God for what He’s done for us!
He’s turned our hearts to praise Him thus,
And now He cries, “Go on, go on!
I’ll crown you when your work is done.”

And above the rest this note shall swell,
This note shall swell, This note shall swell,
And above the rest this note shall swell,
My Jesus has done all things well.

To Be Used of God

I’ve a yearning in my heart that cannot be denied,
It’s a longing that has never been satisfied;
I want this world to know, the one who loves them so,
Like a flame its burning deep down inside.

When I think about the shortness of all these earthly years,
I remember all the wasted days all the wasted tears;
I long to preach the word to those who have never heard,
Of the One who can dispel all they feel.

To be used of God to sing, to speak, to pray,
To be used of God to show someone the way,
I long so much to feel the touch of His consuming fire,
To be used of God is my desire.

:BRAVO:

Praise the Lord!

For we are sojourners and pilgrims before You, as were all our fathers.
1 Chronicles 29:15
The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:10, 12

:poly:

Time, By Moments, Steals Away

Time, by moments, steals away, first the hour, and then the day;
Small the daily loss appears, yet it soon amounts to years:
Thus another year is flown, now it is no more our own
If it brought or promised good, than the years before the flood.

But may none of us forget it has left us much in debt;
Favors from the Lord received, sins that have His Spirit grieved;
Marked by an unerring hand in His book recorded stand;
Who can tell the vast amount, placed to each of our account?

Happy, the believing soul! Christ for you has paid the whole;
While you own the debt is large, you may plead a full discharge:
But poor careless sinner, say, what can you to justice pay?
Tremble, lest when life is past, into prison you be cast!

Will you still increase the score? Still be careless, as before?
O, forbid it, gracious Lord, touch their spirits by Thy Word!
Now, in mercy, to them show what a mighty debt they owe!
All their unbelief subdue, let them find forgiveness too.

Spared to see the years and days, let Thy blessing meet us here;
Come, Thy dying work revive, bid Thy drooping garden thrive:
Sun of righteousness arise, warm our hearts, and bless our eyes;
Let our prayer Thy heart move, make the next moment a time of love!

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”
Matthew 9:37

:poly:

Ho! Reapers of Life’s Harvest

Ho! reapers of life’s harvest,
Why stand with rusted blade,
Until the night draws round thee,
And day begins to fade?
Why stand ye idle, waiting
For reapers more to come?
The golden morn is passing,
Why sit ye idle, dumb?

Thrust in your sharpened sickle,
And gather in the grain,
The night is fast approaching,
And soon will come again;
The Master calls for reapers,
And shall He call in vain?
Shall sheaves lie there ungathered,
And waste upon the plain?

Mount up the heights of wisdom,
And crush each error low;
Keep back no words of knowledge
That human hearts should know.
Be faithful to thy mission,
In service of thy Lord,
And then a golden chaplet
Shall be thy just reward.

Praise the Lord!

Then He said to His disciples,
“...Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Matthew 9:38

:poly:

The Lord of the Harvest

The Lord of the harvest is coming,
We know not the day it will be
When He shall appear to His people,
The hour we His glory shall see.
Oh soul, are you ready to meet Him,
His own can you joyfully yield,
When Jesus shall come in His beauty
To earth, to His great harvest field?

The Lord of the harvest is coming,
The world shall acknowledge His might
When He shall descend with His angels,
His angels of glory and light.
A message of joy to His faithful,
But where will the faithless be found?
When Jesus shall come to His people
His voice through the world shall resound.

The Lord of the harvest is coming,
Be ready, He bids thee to wait,
For oh, in the clouds we shall see Him,
If early He cometh, or late.
Prepare, nor delay, bid Him welcome,
So soon His dear face thou shalt see,
The Savior is coming so surely,
A message He’ll bring unto thee.

The Lord of the harvest is coming, is coming
We know not the day and we know not the hour,
When He shall appear in His glory,
His might and His wonderful power.

Praise the Lord!
There came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we perish.” Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And He said unto them, “Where is your faith?” Luke 8:23-25

:poly:

When the Storms of Life Surround Me

When the storms of life surround me,
And the world seems dark and cold,
When the rain beats down upon me,
And the lightning stabs my soul,
I cry out to my Savior,
“Lord, help me, lest I die!
Do You care not that the billows
Push my boat toward the shoal?”

When the raging winds and tempest,
And the noxious clouds of sin,
Whirl around me like an army,
And my faith is wearing thin,
In a whispering distant thunder,
Comes a voice like morning calm:
“Fear not, I am with you ever,
Till the world shall see its end.”

“I command the winds of heaven,
And the lightning does My will,
I who walked upon the waters,
And who bid the storm be still.
I seek not your destruction,
But to strengthen and make pure;
Keep your faith in Me, believing
I My promises fulfill.”

He is greater than the thunder,
He is mightier than the storm;
He extends His hand to lift me,
And protect my soul from harm.
He will see me safe to harbor,
To the haven of my rest,
Sheltered by the Rock of Ages,
Held in His almighty arm.

Praise the Lord!

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth,
for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
Also there was no more sea.

Revelation 21:1

:poly:

Safe upon the billowy deep

Safe upon the billowy deep,
Loving Lord, Thy servants keep
Helpless, trusting pilgrims they,
Guard them on their watery way.

In the morning fill their sails,
’Mid the dark send favoring gales;
If their sky be overcast,
Calm the waves, and still the blast.

Let Thy sunshine guide by day;
Send at eve the starry ray
Through the watches of the night,
Be Thou, Lord, their shining Light.

Thus, as hour by hour rolls by,
Watch them with Thy sleepless eye:
Guide with Thine almighty hand
Safe unto the haven land.

And at last, life’s voyage o’er,
Take us to the heavenly shore,
Safe in port, to dwell with Thee
Where there shall be “no more sea.”

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me?

Leave It There

If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, yes, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you.
Psalm 55:22

Jesus Took My Burden

Oft-times the way is dreary and rugged seems the road,
Oft-times I’m weak and weary when bent beneath some load,
But when I cry in weakness how long O Lord how long,
Jesus takes the burden and leaves me with a song.

Yes, Jesus took my burden I could no longer bear,
Yes, Jesus took my burden in answer to my prayer;
My anxious fears subsided my spirit was made strong,
For Jesus took my burden and left me with a song.

Sweet Peace, The Gift of God's Love

There comes to my heart one sweet strain,
A glad and a joyous refrain,
I sing it again and again,
Sweet peace, the gift of God's love.

Through Christ on the cross peace was made,
My debt by His death was all paid,
No other foundation is laid.
For peace, the gift of God's love.

When Jesus as Lord I had crowned,
My heart with this peace did abound,
In Him the rich blessing I found,
Sweet peace, the gift of God's love.

In Jesus for peace I abide,
And as I keep close to His side,
There's nothing but peace doth betide.
Sweet peace, the gift of God's love.

Peace, peace, sweet peace,
Wonderful gift from above,
Oh, wonderful, wonderful peace,
Sweet peace, the gift of God's love.

Be still, and know that I am God.

Psalm 46:10

:poly:

Be Still, My Soul

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord.
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

I am with you always. Amen.

I'll Never Be Lonely Again

Lonely days and lonely nights filled with despair,
Caused me to long for someone to care;
Then I heard Christ say to me “This promise I've made
Lo! I am with you now and forever be not afraid.”

I'll never be lonely again, never again,
For I have opened my heart's door to Him.
So I'll brush away the tears and forget my foolish fears,

This is What Heaven Means to Me

A country where no twilight shadows deepen,
Unending day where night shall never be.
A city where no storm clouds ever gather,
This is what Heaven - means to me.

And when at last we see the face of Jesus,
Before whose image other loves all flee.
And when they crown him Lord of all I'll be there,
This is what Heaven - means to me.

A place where there is no misunderstanding,
And from all enmity and strife we're free.
No unkind words to wrong the heart are spoken,
This is what Heaven - means to me.

What will it be when we get over yonder
And join the throng upon the glassy sea?
To greet our loved ones and crown Christ forever,
Oh, this is what Heaven means to me.

“Tell me, my secret soul; O, tell me, Love, Faith, and Hope,
Is there no resting-place from sorrow, sin and death?
Is there no happy place where mortals may be blest,
Where grief may find a balm, and weariness a rest?
Love, Faith and Hope — best favors to mortals given —
With the radiance of grace whispered: Yes, in heaven!”
