I think the parents of your students deserve to know. I know I wouldn't let someone around my kids that can't even figure out what they are -- let alone try to instruct them in abelian groups and differential slopes. I just mean that there are a lot of choices out there and people should not have to have their kids educated by some self-ascribed freak of nature if they don't want to.
I'm pro-choice when it comes to having my kids educated by a pervert or not.
