Starting out with a bit of history.
A couple of years ago Pastor Adam, myself and a couple of other TOL members were involved in a Bible study together via the internet. Adam was, at the time Pastoring a small home church in Yuma CO. and working for an internet service provider. Adam became aware that the struggling ISP that he was working for was going to have to lay him off, and since the employment outlook in Yuma did not look promising, Adam began looking for employment elsewhere. He made the statement at the time that "wherever my work take me, we are going to plant a church"!
I began talking to Adam about the reasons why Northern Indiana would be a good place to consider. Just a short time after that Adam found and was offered a job at an ISP here in Goshen, Indiana. A few short weeks later Pastor Adam was camping in my back yard, working at his new job and Damascus Road Bible Fellowship has been meeting from that week forward!

Backyard? :squint:

You couldn't even offer him the couch?

Note to self: if you ever get the opportunity to visit Del, bring a tent.

Cool story though...I wasn't aware this even happened. I'd love to hear more.

Hi assuranceagent
He didn't have to set up a tent. We had a camper with a bed and electricity, set up for him before he arrived.

That's a great story, Delmar......it could use a car chase though. Just as a kicker. :thumb:

But seriously, you never cease to pleasantly surprise me. And I don't surprise all that easily.

No car chase, but when Mrs Adam was bringing their family out from Colorado their Suburban died on the way! That did make for an all night drive, for the rescue team.
