Scientists in the UK working as advisors for the government have expressed regret for using what they now admit to be “unethical” and “totalitarian” methods of instilling fear in the population in order to control behaviour during the pandemic, according to a report.

I've been wondering about this. I've read things that make me think that they are incapable of understanding the situation. Their brains/thinking may very well have been modified to the point that they are incapable of recognizing truth. I heard a story yesterday of a woman breaking up with her long time boyfriend/fiancee who could not recognize the issues even when documentation was put directly in front of him.

I'm not too sure I trust the source of the story, but it sounds much like what goes on here with people being completely unable to recognize truth. It's like Yorschik's (spelling?) last attempt to communicate honestly with one of our resident socialists. There was a complete disconnect from what he said and the replies that came back to him. It's one of 2 possibilities. Either complete and utter dishonesty or a complete inability to understand what was said. Either problem can come from impairment of the frontal lobe of the brain.
