The context is that I've indicated in the thread that I don't think that janitors are qualified to be philosophers, and TomO in turn indicated that he wouldn't hire me as a janitor. This bit ensued:

Of course not! Once I get my MA or Ph.D., I'm sure that you'd be much more in need of a personal philosophical consultant! Someone to explain to you very clearly what would constitute an ethical violation and what would not? Someone to encourage you to pursue virtue and obey the Moral Law? Someone to dissuade you from exploiting others?

You can have all this for just.... $30,000 a year + benefits! :first:

:think: I'll tell you what....just add to that; light maintenance work (painting, light-bulb changing etc...) sweeping, mopping and waxing of floors, and carpet spot cleaning, along with dusting and trash removal. Keep the parking lot and building exterior looking like new, and oversee the uniform service and cleaning supplies...aaaannnd last but not least assemble/disassemble and move office furniture. Add all this to your proposal and it's a deal.
