xxxx Your inner man consists of your spirit(the mind of your inner man) and your soul(the body of your inner man). All affections come from your soul and all decisions come from your spirit. Not all ideas but all decisions. All ideas come from the different beings in you. You get one opinion from your guardian angel. And you get one opinion from the devil. Then you choose who to agree with. But if you have the Holy Spirit He will give you a verse to show you who is who.
All your emotions dwell in your outer person (body). All emotions are unclean spirits.

Have you went through the purging of your carnal mind yet? Where you question every thought and every feeling that comes up in you. Have you tried to stop thinking for an hour? And yet thoughts keep coming. Where are they coming from? spirits. Some from our guardian angel, and some from the devil, some from demons. Our spirit listens and chooses which to agree with, and which to reject. This is how one separates their inner man from their outer person. Now if you are in control of what goes on inside of you. Then you should be able to call up any emotion you want. So call up anger, and then send it away. Call up jealousy, and then send it away. Call up wrath and send it away. If you cant do this, then they control you, you don't control them. And they are always looking for opportunity to rear up. This is why we need the Holy Spirit. He quotes the verses, that have the power over spirits deceiving us.

xxxx Your inner man is your spirit and soul. Your spirit is the mind of your inner man. Your soul is the body of your inner man where all affections come from. Your outer person is your fleshly body that houses your inner man along with your passions(emotions) and the devil and your Holy Spirit. Your all in that body, and you have to separate them to know who is who. Deception is when you think one of them isnt bad that really is. All your reasoning and logic comes from the different spirits in you.

Look at it this way. What is happening when you are thinking. A part of you is waiting until the right thought comes along. The part that is waiting is your inner man. The thoughts come from either your guardian angel, or the devil. The part(the you) picks a thought to agree with. Some times the part(the you) rejects some of the thoughts. Some times the you picks the wrong thoughts.
