The sad thing is that some cranks think that you can't discipline your children without spanking.

It wasn't until this liberal notion that kids shouldn't be physically disciplined that all of a sudden schools started being shot up in record numbers and juvenile delinquency became virtually a coin flip.
It's not advocates of physical discipline who need to justify themselves, but those who are against it. The whole matter should be inverted- it's not conservatives who should be on defense here

Its all about a kid's age. When they are too young to reason, spanking works better. Different punishments are best at different ages. Spanking is good from maybe age 3 or 4 to, what, 7 or 8 or 9? Something like that. And for the liberal morons out there, spanking a kid is not beating a kid. Beating is bad, spanking is good.
You don't need to spank your children if you can buy there obedience, which is what the people who don't believe in spanking do. So instead of ending up in prison, they just become spoiled sociopaths
