Sessions met with Russian envoy 2X last year, encounters he later did not disclose!

The publicly available photograph says it all - Nancy Pelosi in a room fill of people!

She didn't send the Vice President and White House Press Secretary out to deny that the meeting took place nor did she withhold its existence from a Senate Committee.

Any attempt to portray this as the moral equivalent to Session's selective memory shows how desperate conservative are in need of compelling arguments to refute the continuous series of missteps!

To be fair, "jeffblue101" can now produce all the photos of the Trump surrogates meeting with the Russian ambassador - let's not hold our breath!

It's only a lie if he talked about the election, in fact this narrow phrasing "about the 2016 election" disproves that the democrats wanted a broad answer for any contact as a senator.

Granted, but see my point #3. He couldn't possibly have been meeting with the ambassador at the RNC in his capacity as a senator. What else could it possibly have been about?

You mean like how we could trust Loretta Lynch?

When a high public official is accused of serious wrongdoing and there is a sufficient factual predicate to investigate, it is imperative the investigation be thorough, with dispatch and without partisanship

It is time to move on, and watch Jeff serve 8 years as AG

Why do you care so much about Sessions? :idunno:

This has been a very interesting thing to watch, and more than a little amazing.

McCarthy must be spinning in his grave.
But now we find out that Obama operated like the KGB while authorizing wire taps on Donald Trump during a campaign where he openly supported Clinton and campaigned on her behalf - amazing corruption by demoncrats

I saw that Trump accused Obama of it. Is there anything to back up the accusation?

No, we find out that Trump, in an early morning tweetstorm has once again come unhinged. SAD!

A return tweet to Trump from Obama's deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes:

"No President can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you"

Asked about Trump's tweets on Saturday, a former senior US official with direct knowledge of investigations by the Justice Department under the Obama administration denied there was any such investigation of Trump or that his phones were tapped.

"This did not happen. It is false. Wrong," the former official said.

The official said clearly that Obama could not order this. It would have been taken to a judge by investigators, but investigators never did that, the former official said.

Trump did not offer evidence for his stunning claim, which has not been verified, and the White House did not immediately return requests for comment Saturday morning. An Obama spokesman had no comment regarding Trump's claims.

Nope. Obama administration applied for wire tap in June of 2016 and was denied, then they were approved in October 2016. So far, with ALL the investigations and searching there is NO EVIDENCE of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign to swing the election - Clinton lost fair and square

Can you give me a link? (And please, no Breitbart.)

BTW - Trump finished off his literally unhinged meltdown with this very, very, very important last word:

"Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show"

Trump is incapable of handling the presidency.

If this goes back to the FBI and the pre-election Russian server issue, then you have to consider probable cause:

Some current and former intelligence officials cast doubt on Trump's assertion.

“It's highly unlikely there was a wiretap,” said one former senior intelligence official familiar with surveillance law who spoke candidly on the condition of anonymity. The former official continued: “It seems unthinkable. If that were the case by some chance, that means that a federal judge would have found that there was either probable cause that he had committed a crime or was an agent of a foreign power.”

A wiretap cannot be directed at a U.S. facility, the official said, without finding probable cause that the phone lines or Internet addresses were being used by agents of a foreign power — or by someone spying for or acting on behalf of a foreign government. “You can't just go around and tap buildings,” the official said.
