Matthew 20:1-16

It doesn't matter how much "work" you do, we all get the same pay.

Even those early morning hires who complained.

Translated: A chairman of the Federal Reserve response-you've said nothing, fruit inspector.

I'm on Team Redeemed, by grace, through faith, given by God, not of works, to will and to do His good pleasure (and He gets the glory).
Since, according to Calvinism, God decrees that some are to remain blinded and will never know the real truth; how can you be sure God has not blinded you and will not allow you to know the real truth?
I mean, God could have given you the spirit of stupor so you would believe a lie (thinking it is truth).

Yes, Theo.....How do we know that you are one of the so called "elect"(to salvation)?

Let me guess..."Cuz" your lifestyle/"fruit"/"fruits" tell you so.

Calvinism/Clavinism is just another subtil(Gen. 3:1 KJV) form of "works based" "salvation," no different than Roman Catholicism, Mormonism.......

=different cages....same dirty birds.....

The Holy Spirit Himself bears witness with my spirit that I am a son of God and an heir and as I suffer with Him I will be glorified with Him.

Christ the Lord has given Himself for me so that I am able to give myself to Him in this life and after this life.

I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe (and own) that God has raised Him from the dead.

How about you?

exactly
-and
-the very first step is
-to see yourself as a sinner

But don't stay forever on the first step, we see that in Christ God pardons sins, He shed His blood for the remission of sins

Therefore

Are your sins remitted? there is only one shedding of blood, so if they are not remitted now when will they be?

After Pentecost they were not sinners but saints

I saw myself as a sinner but God remitted my sins....now I'm a saint.

How well do you have to walk the walk to be okay with God?

Just asking...why would anyone settle for just "okay" with God?"

Just saying...

...He commands 100%.

To wit (and to the Law and Testimonies):

1 Thess. 5
14 We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

100% of our time or just 75%, or 50%, more or less?

15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.

"Always" sounds like 100% to me.

16 Rejoice always;

"Always" sounds like 100% to me.

17 pray without ceasing;

"Without ceasing" sounds like 100% to me, too.

18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

"Everything" sounds like 100%.

19 Do not quench the Spirit;

Ever? Just some of the time or 100% of the time?

20 do not despise prophetic utterances.

Again, ever? Just some of the time or 100% of the time?

21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;

"Everything" covers 100%

22 abstain from every form of evil.

There's "every" again. 100%

Romans 12
1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

Hmm. Not just a finger or an arm...a whole body. 100% again.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Lot's of "100%" there.

Phil. 3
12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

So did Paul endeavor to do these things 100%?

75%

50%

What is enough according to Paul?

Want more?

Romans 12
18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

Just sometimes or 100% of the time?

Jesus said "Be perfect."

Jesus said "Be holy."

All the time or just 20% of the time.

Can we do this?

Jesus did it 100% of the time...and if we abide in Him and He abides in us we have the power to do the same.

Power from the Holy Spirit...100% of the time AS WE ABIDE IN HIM.

100% of the obedience of Christ Jesus the Lord.

100% of His ability to do the will of the Father.

What if we cannot?

His sacrifice covers us.

His grace sustains us.

His Spirit leads us (if we let Him).

2 Cor. 10
5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

Commands.

The power to obey them.

The grace that covers us when we don't, or do so imperfectly.
