Welcome!
My advice is don't become a "Bibleolator": one of those people who worships every word in the Bible as if it had come directly from God's own mouth. It didn't.
Er, and by this, he isn't saying it 'because God doesn't have a physical mouth' but because he's a liberal with mental gymnastics as his primary care-giver.

The rest of us will try to follow God to the ends of the earth, even over Kierkegaard Leap if necessary (long way down, some of us have done it and lived :noway: )

Hi guys, I was excited to find this forum. I am pretty new to studying theology at age 23. Any advice about using this forum to it's best potential and books to get started with?

I recommend downloading e-Sword!
http://www.e-sword.net/

lots of free dictionaries and commentaries there :)

also this is a great book on salvation

Even if you don't like the book on salvation though, you should get e-Sword. It is a great tool.
