I guess seal of the meat is another way of saying osas.

Or it could be a usda choice seal, who knows, never heard of 'seal of the meat' before other than usda seals.

"Around the country, progressive bullies have attacked Christians for daring to put their faith ahead of the pet causes of those who feign compassion while destroying life-giving liberties. What we are seeing is a scorched-earth, take-no-prisoners approach as the wildfire burns across our land. It is not enough that Christians be quiet. Christians must be silenced and punished. Their faith cannot be respected. Legislation that ensures people are free to live and work according to their faith without fear of being punished by government must be stopped and decried as discrimination...There is one key reason that those on the Left must force their beliefs on the rest of us: if they didn't force their craziness on us, we would never embrace it." ~Erick Erickson

You have an idea of "initial salvation". What do you mean by this? What did Paul mean in Romans 3:31?
First of all, the only 'sin' that any believer has to deal with is unbelief.

Initial salvatioin is when you believe...and, are saved as a babe in Christ...He wants to move you onto maturity...

This is quite frankly, one of the dumbest things I have ever read anywhere, let alone a "theological debate".

Hbr 5:10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Hbr 5:11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

The writer here had the same problem explaining this, as I do, because MOST are dull of hearing.

Hbr 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Some on this board need to return back to MILK, because their so called meat, as unsealed the very milk...(made it non effective), in other words, they have made grace and faith VOID...unsealing the milk of the word of God.

Hbr 5:13 For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

Hbr 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

It is the will of God to save us by the milk...we are sealed with the milk initially, but, IF we remove the MILK; unseal the milk, we have made faith void; and are in need to going back and learning the basic principals of the word, so we can be sealed in the milk once again.

It is only those who do not undo the milk, but move on into the sealing of the meat that can never fall...for false gospels.
So you are saying if you are yet a "babe" in Christ, you can lose your salvation, but if you have made it to meat by works, you get to keep it?

Untellectual;3027557]Where are you getting this "seal of the meat" from? Why are you saying, "we can never fall"?It is difficult to know if you are thinking maturity is salvation or not.

Other than the other verses on it, that I am tired of posting...here is another:

    'seal of meat':

1 Cr 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.

    Bold..the milk is unto salvation.
Yellow..the meat is unto maturity...but, these were not yet ready for it...they were not secure in even the milk, yet.

1Cr 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

1Cr 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I [am] of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

1Cr 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who [is] Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

1Cr 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

Here Paul defines WHO can teach the meat; GOD, via the Holy Spirit...and, Paul wrote out a witness to what it is, in his writings...not to teach it to men; for he already knew he could not teach it to men...he didnt even receive it of men...no man can receive it of men!

It only comes with increase, as we each INDIVIDUALLY grow...via the Holy Spirit.

Those who are saved have the milk first and then the meat. It is not that we are saved by the milk.
Yes, we are only saved by understanding the milk...you cannot KNOW the meat, until you have the Holy Spirit.

It is the Holy Spirit that teaches you the meat...NOT men.

The whole REASON men are deceived, is because they allow other men's meat to take them OUT of the MILK that saved them.

Meat only comes by revelation of the Holy Spirit; as Paul taught..not by teachings of men, that so many are deceived through.

This is why Jesus said, "do not desire the meat that PERISHETH", He alone can teach you the meat.

I am done with this thread.....thanks for participating.
