I saw the presser live, Arthur. He did not suggest any such thing. He just flat out did not.
The reason companies had their lawyer put out statements is because the press had everyone convinced that he had said something he hadn't.
Why did Trump try to squirm out of it by claiming sarcasm? The salient part of the briefing is there for all to see so there's no lying going on here but there sure will be on your part if you persist with that line.
I not only saw it live but have seen and heard it repeatedly since then. He made no such suggestion.
