Let's test the logic. Is killing always murder?

An example:

You are just settling into bed with your lovely wife who is already fast asleep. Your children are each cuddled into their beds and were long ago tucked in. You are reading a good book as you begin to drift asleep. It is a warm summer evening and you left the windows in your house open to allow the cool breeze to blow through the house.

Suddenly, you hear a noise. At first you are uncertain of what it is. You lay quietly, straining to hear. Sure enough it sounds like footsteps. Instantly, you leap to your feet and go to your bedroom door, carefully peering down the hallway to where the noises are coming from.

There, in your hallway, is a man in a mask. He is entering the bedroom of one of your children. You rush him from behind just in time to see him approaching your children with a knife in his hands and gleam of insane wickedness on his face. He spins and comes at you with the knife, stabbing you with it! The pain is excruciating as you stumble backwards and begin to feel the blood pour from your shoulder where he stabbed you. He is advancing on you, a menacing glare on his face, a wicked smile pasted on his lips.

Looking around desparately, you grab the closest thing-a broomhandle that had been broken off by your children when they were having "lightsaber" duels. As the insane murderer approaches you, with the clear intent to kill you, what do you do?

A. Throw your hands up and say, "Wait, I'm a liberal and I really want to love and understand you."
B. Try to reason with him or make him laugh by telling him a funny joke.
C. Swing the broom handle at him in defense of yourself, knowing that you cannot reason with this madman who has stabbed you.

If you choose C, and the man dies from your defense, is this MURDER? No. It is justifiable in every sense of the word. You were defending yourself. So is killing always murder? No.

The same is true of if the government executes a murderer. They are doing what they are supposed to do according to God. Read through Turbo's arguments in the last Battle Royale and you will find it to be absolutely solid on the side of the death penalty. Ignore the liberal rhetoric!

God bless everyone!
