Focus on the Process

Friday June 23rd, 2006. This is show #125.

BEST QUOTES OF THE SHOW:
Today and tomorrow, down in Colorado Springs, [Focus on the Family is] having a Truth Project conference. ...I don't know how many people from around the country have called in and said, "Bob, since Bob Enyart Live has been criticizing Focus on the Family for compromising on truth and basic principles of right and wrong, they've gone on the offensive and they've put together this Truth Project.

And...tomorrow morning their first session is titled..."Focus on the Process." And this is the "Truth" Project. Now we have a Bob Enyart Live volunteer down there to participate and report back on how the conference goes. ...And we want Dr. Dobson to acknowledge that when a judge is faced with 2 precedents, God's enduring command, "do not murder" and some recent Supreme Court ruling, the judge should never violate "do not murder" in order to stay true to some other standard. Never.

If the judge violates "do not murder" in order to stay true with a man-made Supreme Court precedent, then that judge, as God says so clearly in the Bible, that judge is guilty of murder.
James Dobson: I believe [God] inspired the founding fathers to develop this system where we are all allowed to influence the decisions of government. What a great idea!

Bob Enyart: Why would it be a "great idea?" In Palestine they got democracy and the majority voted for a terrorist organization, Hamas, to be their official governing authority.
Summary:
* Focus on the Family's Truth Project conference begins today and a BEL volunteer is there to participate and will report back. Meanwhile, we present evidence that our greatest Christian leaders are beginning to accept situational ethics and moral relativism, for example when they approve of American judges who rule in violation of God's enduring command, Do Not Murder, in order to uphold our own man-made legal process. Also, we play a fascinating clip of James Dobson...
Today's Resource: Focus on the Strategy DVD analyzes Christian political strategy, documents seven lines of evidence showing that our Christian leaders have become legal positivists and are moving the Body of Christ toward situation ethics and moral relativism. This DVD recreates before a live audience of 300 Christians a presentation given to Dr. Dobson's VP of Public Policy, Tom Minnery, identifying our downward moral slide and recommending specific corrections!
