Newsmax: Trump losing support of FOX viewers

This is just 'republican.'

No it's not. No Republican has ever engaged in the kind of corrupt practices Trump has in the presidency. If it is Republican, it's only because Trump has made it so.

It's incredibly hypocritical of you to excuse anything and everything as mere partisan difference, when it never has been. In fact, you are the one processing everything in partisan terms. I am not. That is an essential ingredient in the polarization. This is not normal in American politics. Not for a Republican, not for a Democrat. I think it was the direction the Republicans were headed to some extent for the last 30 years, but it would look as foreign in the George W. Bush administration as it would under Obama or Clinton, which is perhaps one of the reasons George W. Bush's ethics lawyer has become a major critic of Trump right along with Obama's head of government ethics.

There you go, denial will get 'er done as quickly as demonstrating violently in the streets.

Really  "I" didn't compare Obama to Hitler. Sorry, polarization comments ARE partisan comments.

That is an essential ingredient in the polarization.
Speaking of 'lack of facts...'

We are a 'celebrity' worshipping America at the moment. Oh, I'm not awestruck by any one of them, but the
hoi poi are. Put a celebrity on the ballot and it is almost guaranteed they'll be in office. Why? Probably because it is the $ machine right now. We are very entertainment/media driven as a society. I think we have fostered a hedonistic society so the presidency was ripe for it. Contrast that with Hitler, we aren't there yet.

It's just a fact. Trump is making millions in profit by being president. So when he boasts about giving up his salary, he puts the issue on the table for discussion.

Well go ahead then. EVERY president makes millions. The Clintons every time they speak! :noway:

LOL. I love the assertions without evidence that you're so fond of.

Trump's net worth has actually gone down by at least $200 million since he was elected..... Look it up. There are several sites online that show this. Trump's net worth has diminished while Barack Obama's and the Clinton's net worth skyrocketed during and after their time in power. Obama went from an estimated $1.3 million in 2007 to an estimated $40,000,000 in 2017. Wow. He really cashed in on his presidency. The Clinton's had an estimated net worth of $500,000 when Bill was governor of Arkansas. Their current net worth seems pretty hard to estimate as it ranges all over the place by different sources. However, it seems to be pretty well agreed on that they have made $240 million since Bill left the White House. Sounds lke they have really cashed in on their political careers to me.

If Trump is evil for losing money, then just how fantastically evil are the Obamas and Clintons?

You shouldn't. They're nothing alike.

 Sorry, polarization comments ARE partisan comments.

Sorry, that's not the answer to any question anyone asked.

Speaking of 'lack of facts...'

Give me a concrete example. What do you think is comparable?

Gee, that sounds reputable...

LOL. Yeah, magazines like Forbes know nothing about economics. They say that Trump's net worth, as of 10/28/2017, has gone down $600 million. But then I know you think Forbes is very unreliable. As of 3/21/2017 that far right conspiratorial rag known as Newsweek said Trump's wealth had declined $200 million. But then they're just a rabid tool of the far right distributing disinformation....

Then there is that organization headed by that rabid far right loon named Jeff Bezos, the Washington Post, who says Trump's wealth has declined by $1 billion as of March 20, 2017. But then we know that WAPO is just a conservative mouthpiece as Bezos is so far right politically he makes me look like a socialist.

Yup. The far right is lying about it all. They're just making it all up.

Wasn't that why he put the reigns of Trump business in his kid's hands?

He's still the sole beneficiary of the trust, and it's not a blind trust. It doesn't really solve any ethics problem, nor any Constitutional issue, nor does it address the conflicts he has related to taxes.

Neither Forbes nor WaPo are what call online sites. But even they would have limited information, based on real estate estimates in the various markets where properties that they know about exist. And even if his net worth did decline, which would have happened anyway in a lot of cases whether he was President or not, that doesn't justify corruption.

If Trump really wanted us to know his true financial information, he'd release his tax returns.

It's no secret, but if you've been living in a cave, lately:

President Trump, who won the White House on a wave of populist promises, will likely save millions of dollars, thanks to Congress’s approval of a tax plan he pledged was designed for the middle class.

Trump, who said he would be a “big loser” if the bill passed, stands to gain immensely from the Republican tax overhaul, including through a lower top tax rate and lucrative deductions for top-earning households, according to attorneys and tax experts who reviewed the final bill.
Trump could also take advantage of benefits that will lift specific business sectors, including a last-minute tax deduction that helps many owners of high-value commercial real estate, the industry where he first made his fortune.

The tax plan’s transformation into law crystallizes the contrast between Trump’s populist rhetoric and the private fortune he made by marketing condos, hotels and golf resorts to a wealth
y clientele.

The Republicans’ first legislative triumph of 2017 will ensure a financial windfall for the president and his family in a way that is virtually unprecedented in American political history, experts said. Well go ahead then. EVERY president makes millions. The Clintons every time they speak! :noway:

But most presidents don't make millions by restructuring the tax system to favor them, at the expense of others. In fact, I don't see one president before Trump doing that.

Bingo. You even see the truth unconciously, but your mental filters keep you from actually recognizing what you're saying. Since his wealth would have declined anyway he isn't the one manipulating events to stop it. He's not playing the politics for wealth game both Obama and the Clinton's have played. Their net worth was mainly accumulated due to their political activities. They cashed in big time.

What was that first sentence? You've got a major typo in it so that it doesn't make sense. It looks to me like you're saying Forbes and WAPO don't have sites on the internet.

I could care less if Trump releases his tax returns. He has been in the public eye for decades so everyone has a pretty good idea of who he is and that he is wealthy. Does his wealth disqualify him from office? If so you've going to have a really hard time supporting Oprah. You Democrats are going to have to find someone poor to run for office, if you're going to be consistent anyway. But I long ago gave up on that hope. All I've ever seen from Democrats is party poltics.

Yeah, more mockingbird media disinformation. You buy into all of it. You're the biggest conspiracy theorist around. You live your conspiracy theories.

And many economists say those same tax cuts are going to spur job creation and wage growth. In fact we already see the little guy benefiting from those same corporate tax breaks that you hate so badly. And since corporate taxes are passed on to the consumer to pay who is it that pays those taxes? The little guy. Trump is doing the little guy a favor by cutting corporate tax rates.

There are only two ways to miss the above. One is to be woefully ignorant of economics. The second is to be willfully ignorant or at least claim to be by repeating the mockingbird media as if they are telling the truth.

Yeah, more mockingbird media disinformation.

It's just a fact.

There are two governmental organizations that have conducted nonpartisan analyses of the anticipated effects of Republican legislation aimed at overhauling the tax system. There’s the Joint Committee on Taxation, established in 1926 with congressional oversight to prepare revenue estimates on proposals related to taxation. There’s also the Congressional Budget Office, which produces independent analysis of the budgetary effects of legislation.

Recently released analyses from both groups come to the same conclusion. Over both the short- and long-term, the benefits of the Republican proposal is weighted to wealthier Americans.

The republicans' own CBO says so. They lied to you about what it said, and you bought into all of it.

And many economists say those same tax cuts are going to spur job creation and wage growth.

Most don't, but even if most of them did, it doesn't change the fact that the law raises taxes for working-class people and hands Trump millions of dollars in tax cuts.

I get that you don't want to believe it. But reality isn't obligated to fit your hopes. Even the republicans' own budget agency says that Trump is going to make millions from his new law.

Bingo. You even see the truth unconciously, but your mental filters keep you from actually recognizing what you're saying. Since his wealth would have declined anyway he isn't the one manipulating events to stop it.

It doesn't actually mean that, and you're deliberately missing the point. It's akin to saying "see officer, I couldn't have robbed that bank, here's my bank statement." Even if he lost money overall, that doesn't mean he isn't enriching himself off of his office. According to Forbes, the biggest drop was due to his real estate holdings losing value, and at $600 million, it's likely to overwhelm any unearned gains from graft. Also, Forbes wouldn't even have had access to things like his bank accounts, which could tell a very different story.

He's not playing the politics for wealth game both Obama and the Clinton's have played. Their net worth was mainly accumulated due to their political activities. They cashed in big time.

Obama's wealth largely comes from his work as a writer. He's done well, and yes he gets paid for it. And both he and Clinton pull huge speaking fees, because people want to know what they have to say. You could loosely say that's connected to their political activities, but it's not directly the result of their performance of official duties, and there's nothing scandalous about it apart from your resentment.

And your image of Trump as some above-all-that-noise saint, uninterested in money is ludicrous. This is a man who ran a fake university to bilk poor people.

What was that first sentence? You've got a major typo in it so that it doesn't make sense. It looks to me like you're saying Forbes and WAPO don't have sites on the internet.

"I'd". It's missing the word "I'd". And no, I'm clearly not saying they don't have websites. But that's not what they're known for.

I could care less if Trump releases his tax returns.

Of course. You consider him exempt from scrutiny, even the basic level of it that all others have subjected themselves to in recent decades.

He has been in the public eye for decades so everyone has a pretty good idea of who he is and that he is wealthy.

Could you miss the point any more deliberately? None of that is the relevant question. We want to know where he got his money. His tax returns would give a huge indication of that.

Does his wealth disqualify him from office?

No. But his corruption does.

If so you've going to have a really hard time supporting Oprah. You Democrats are going to have to find someone poor to run for office, if you're going to be consistent anyway. But I long ago gave up on that hope.

I won't be supporting Oprah regardless, unless she wins the primary, but I have no problem supporting a rich candidate, as long as they come by their wealth honestly.

All I've ever seen from Democrats is party poltics.

That's because that's all you're looking for. Your deliberate blindness not my problem.

Trump's net worth has actually gone down by at least $200 million since he was elected.....

That includes a massive judgement he had to pay all the people he defrauded in his fake "Trump University" scam. And bad business decisions apart from his fraud problems. Nevertheless, he stands to make many millions from the huge tax cut he just gave himself. You'll be contributing to it;your taxes will go up shortly to pay for it.
