One of my favorite subjects in school: literature! I decided to do a search for some old titles that I enjoyed when I was in school. Turns out that a lot of these "books" are now free to read online. :) :jump:

The Brothers Grimm

Bulfinch's Mythology

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare

Beowulf; in Hypertext

The Life and Works of Edgar Allen Poe

Aesop

Charlotte Bronte

Louisa May Alcott

Hans Christian Anderson

Jane Austen

L. Frank Baum

Emily Bronte

Anne Bronte

Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Oh! I could go on and on from that one website (www.online-literature.com) alone. It has most, if not all, of my favorite authors from when I was still in school. I think I'll leave it up to the rest of you to find your favorites there. :)

This is a grreat site. I use it mostly for the online version of Gray’s Anatomy (not the TV show, that’s Grey’s Anatomy). There is a wealth of great classic fiction and non-fiction available.
That looks like a pretty good site too! Nice find.

Ok, is it bad that when I found something called "Simpsons Quotation" on that website I thought it was quotes from Simpsons the show? :noid:

For those of us who hate reading off a computer screen:

This is all stuff that run past it's copyright; this means it is pretty cheap at Barnes and Noble and/or there are plenty of copies at your local library.
