What's happening to Trump?

I think Trump believes that Jesus Christ died for his sins, was buried and rose the third day. If he does he's a Christian.

Nope. It is clear from that interview of his at that church service where he droned on about not having to confess sins out of his self-delusion he had done nothing wrong - it is clear from that that he erroneously holds to works for salvation.

Otherwise he would have answered more along the line of "well, Christ died for my sins, so they have been paid for, so what I try to do is live a life in rembrance of His sacrifice."

Sorry, PJ'd, but no cigar.

Not to mention that Trump's manner has consistently proven more that of Scripture's Adversary.

This guy here...

Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

In fact, were one of you to turn honest and trash that fake, Made In China MAGA cap, and go with the following logo, it would perfectly summarize Trump's entire, business life of buying and selling politicians for one or another of his many corrupt endeavors...

There have been doubts as to the validity of Obama's Christian faith. Obama, himself, once let it slip that he stood by his "Muslim Faith." Someone in the background had to correct him on that. Besides, many people claim to be a Christian, however, in order to consider yourself a 'true believer' one MUST be a member of the "Body of Christ."

You sound like Trump

Romans 13:1 states; "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." You're correct, however, God raised up Pharoah of Egypt (He wasn't a good man) but God raised him up to bring Glory to Himself. God has reasons for choosing certain men at any given time in history. These same men, may not be considered good, however, God has His purpose and Will to accomplish. Even Hitler was in power for about a decade. Hitler could not have been in power if God's Will and ultimate purpose wasn't involved.

I guess you are saying that God predestined Obama on America as some kind of punishment.

I'd be interested to know what that punishment was for. But more so, why you conclude God has not predestined Trump as some kind of punishment.

Hey Saint Nick,

You forgot to respond to your predestination post.

Since God has chosen Trump as our 'Commander-in-chief,' I highly doubt the President has ANYTHING to fear.

God chose Saul to be king over Israel. How did that work out?

Of course, we have God's word for it that He chose Saul, while we have much less confidence in the folks who suddenly think God votes republican.

We have Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump in sequence. If God is picking presidents, he seems a little fickle, don't you think?

Has the Trump Dementia Coup Already Happened?
An official palace coup against Trump is barely necessary, at this point. In many ways, the transfer of power is complete.
Now let’s consider reason two. Who needs a palace coup? What can be easy for people to forget, because the White House is always a big deal, is this: Trump is a weak president. He has low approval ratings. He has little control over his own party. He has almost as little control over his own White House. His chief of staff, John Kelly, has curbed his boss’s media diet, and Kelly also keeps a close watch on who gets to see the president and what gets said. Calls that once went through to the president now get blocked by the White House switchboard. Trump also spends less and less time in the office, according to Axios, often clocking in at 11 A.M. and out about five hours later. The rest of his day—what aides call “executive time”—is supposedly spent at home making calls and watching TV, which suggests that a lot of Americans are better prepared for the presidency than we’d known.

Trump says that he tweets because “it is the only way to fight a VERY dishonest and unfair ‘press,’ now often referred to as Fake News Media.” But he also does it to get around his own handlers, few of whom endorse his spontaneous ructions. Since Trump’s posts are increasingly getting treated like shells on the Western front—alarming but constant, and therefore to be ignored—they, too, underscore his diminishing power.

Yet lately, Graham has been golfing with Trump and defending him on television, and he recently joined Senator Chuck Grassley in referring Christopher Steele, author of an infamous dossier linking Trump to Moscow, to the F.B.I. for criminal investigation. Such loyalty could be out of love for Trump. Or it could be out of an understanding that a beleaguered president in your debt isn’t a bad thing to have, especially if you’d like to derail his agenda in favor of your own.

In this sense, a palace coup may already be an episode in the rearview mirror—something that happened slowly and unofficially as Trump squandered his capital and aggravated every problem he faced. Today, with Robert Mueller investigating the White House, most Republicans, less by design than by accident, may have Trump where they want him. “You’re very lucky,” Tom Hagan tells Senator Geary in The Godfather: Part II, as he explains that the “family” will help Geary avoid ruination. “All that’s left is our friendship.”

Golf, anyone?

I am still wondering about the predestination question regarding Trump was raised by St Nick.

One more sign that Trump is no longer in control of the WH:
President Donald Trump on Thursday appeared to come out against a bill that would renew controversial online surveillance efforts, hours after the White House issued a statement endorsing the legislation.

And Trump's remarks, which came in an early morning tweet, were made as Republican House leaders scrambled on Capitol Hill to secure the last-minute support needed to pass the legislation, which will get a vote Thursday morning. The bill's backers immediately started worrying the tweet will convince on-the-fence Republicans to withhold their vote.

"'House votes on controversial FISA ACT today.' This is the act that may have been used, with the help of the discredited and phony Dossier, to so badly surveil and abuse the Trump Campaign by the previous administration and others?" the president tweeted, referring to the so-called Steele dossier, a compilation of alleged and unverified ties between Trump and Russia.

The message undercuts the administration's own talking points hours before the House is set to vote on two significantly different measures to extend the digital spying tools authorized under Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, which the U.S. intelligence community uses to hoover up the digital chatter of non-U.S. citizens located overseas.

One bill — favored by Republican leadership and which the White House has said Trump would sign — leaves the programs relatively untouched. Trump's national security leaders have been lobbying hard for months to get such a bill passed, arguing the tools are essential to the global fight against terrorism and international crime.

The competing measure is a libertarian- and privacy advocate-favored proposal that would rein in the snooping efforts significantly. Critics of the 702 statute say it allows the government to spy on Americans without a warrant, since some personal information on U.S. citizens is incidentally collected during the foreign-focused snooping efforts.

Trump's tweet was received as a signal of support for the proposal to overhaul the 702 statute, with even Democratic surveillance critics using his comments to stump for their cause.

Who is calling the shots now, is not clear, but it's clearly not Trump. He retains the ability to tweet, and this remains a source of frustration for the WH staff, as he frequently undercuts what they are doing.
