Goodlatte's comment about "evidence destroyed by people working for the Democratic presidential candidate" was likely in reference to Clinton aide Justin Cooper - who was involved in setting up Hillary Clinton's personal server, and told the FBI that he smashed Hillary Clinton's cell phones with a hammer at least twice: ​

Hillary is in BIG, BIG trouble.

She better hope that Trump gives her a pardon because there is no way out other than that for her now.

It's too sad, really. The horizonal stripes on her new pants suits will make her look even more dumpy than she already looks!

And none of that will save Trump. If he's crossed the line, he's toast. If not, he'll stumble on.

If then entire republican Congress and the republican director of the FBI couldn't find anything on Clinton, I don't think that there's much chance of something now.

And as the noose tightens around the guys who appear to have really committed crimes, pointing at others probably won't do any good at all.

"With the simmering tension between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, it seems like the president should be worrying about threats closer to home, with odds of an impeachment during his first term shortening to 4-7, a probability of 63.6 percent," Brice told Newsweek.

In betting terms, the shortening of odds means something is more likely to occur.

What should be even more alarming to the White House, according to Brice, is the shortening of odds for a Trump impeachment this year.

“It’s not just North Korea causing Trump fire and fury, as Michael Wolff’s new book has listed a series of damaging revelations. We now think it’s evens—50 percent chance that he’s impeached in 2018,” he added.

I don't know exactly what that's referring to, but it wouldn't be an unusual step to destroy a device that has been used for secure information as part of decommissioning it. If it were done to thwart an investigation, that would be bad, but do you have evidence of such a motivation?

In a case like this the person who destroyed the evidence is questioned as to why the evidence was destroyed. If no good answer emerges then the motive becomes clear.

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE!

Justin Cooper is not going to take the fall for Hillary so she will be spending some time in prison!

1. I just gave you an explanation.
2. That's not how it works. You need to actually prove corrupt motive if you're gonna make a criminal case.

If Popadoupolos was telling the truth while drinking with an Australian diplomat, there was indeed a crime. But the ironic thing is, obstruction is a crime, even if the perp was trying to cover up something that didn't turn out to be a crime.

If Nixon had simply come clean, it might have dinged his popularity a bit, but he would have been out of trouble. It was the cover-up of something that he did that really didn't rise to the level of a crime, that got him.
