No, that is the point.

Those born of the Spirit don't make babies.

Humans live but a short while compared to eternity.
So none of the women having babies today are born of the Spirit?

In your thinking- why did God ever do that in the first place?
I am not so sure that he did- but that apparently is what you think.

Because Christ and his gospel had not come into the world yet. The Old covenant was for carnal minded men. The new covenant is for spiritually minded men and women in Christ.

No, a man is a Jew because he is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code.

Paul said this and it can only be understood if you understand what the term Yisra'el actually means. Not what you think it means and not what the translators or commentaries or authors of concordances say it means. If you do discover the meaning you will have immediate understanding because flesh and blood will not have revealed it to you...

Paul is not saying that just any man is a Jew inwardly, but that a true Jew is a Jew that is one inwardly by the circumcision of the heart reflecting GOD's desire for Israel.

Deu 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

Deu 30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

The term 'Jew' in Ro 2 is referring to the same 'Jew' as in Ro 3, those to whom GOD gave the oracles.

Gentiles do not become Jews.

It's a contradiction for people to cite Gal 3:28 to say that there are no Christians who are Jews, and then claim Rom 2:29 and say that they themselves are Christians who are Jews.

As I said, without the knowledge of what Yisra'el means you can't possibly understand what Paul was conveying...you have proven the point, thanks.

Every post I see from you is you telling someone how much they don't know, it's a disturbing pattern you have. What is like to know everything?

Israel is Scripturally defined as:

1) The man Jacob whose name GOD changed to Israel.

2) The nation which GOD built out of the twelve sons of Israel, becoming the twelve tribes.

3) During the divided kingdom after Solomon, the northern tribes designated as Israel.

4) The 'whole' house of Israel referring to the nation as composed of the twelve tribes in various Prophets.

5) The future prophesied remnant of the twelve tribes restored to the land promised to them.

6) The word Israel used to refer to the land promised irrevocably to Abraham and his descendants thru Isaac and Jacob.

7) 'The Israel of GOD' to which Paul refers to in Gal 6, meaning the circumcised heart believing remnant of the twelve tribes who will be restored to the land under Israel's Messiah at His second coming, according to prophecy.

GOD has not equivocated on His definition of the term 'Israel'.

Those that change GOD's definition pervert the Scriptures.

Clueless.

This is the word...Yisra'el or even in English Israel.

What does it mean?

Clue El.

Much of the time you act like no one has studied the Scripture or Biblical terms but you.

I've been studying the Scriptures as a believer for 38 years.

*The Hebrew word yisra-el is derived from two root words, Yisra which has an uncertain meaning but in the context it means to struggle or rule.
The other root word is 'el', which is used in Hebrew to refer to GOD.
Thus 'Israel' means to struggle with GOD, to be ruled by GOD or to rule with GOD.
Jacob surrendered to God in order to be ruled by God, thus began the early stages of the theocracy of the nation of Israel.

Paul never uses the term 'Israel' to refer to the church which is the Body of Christ, which is a new creation distinct from national Israel and composed of believers from all nations(including Israel) without rank. Jew and gentile are equal in the BOC. Before the formation of the BOC, Israel was the privileged nation.

Christ has authority over all flesh and he began his body of believers with those he called out of Egypt.

In the NT he added those who should be added to his body.
