Some basic positions of Christian truth

THREE BASIC POSITIONS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH

1, Existence. Life and the things that exist are real and truly there. In most modern views, nothing should exist. After a century of atheist uniformitarianism, Sartre declared, ‘the greatest philosophic problem today is that things exist.’

2, Connection to evil. There is no unbroken line connecting evil with God the creator. Something evil has happened that has totally changed the world, so that it is not what he created or wished.

3, Knowledge. We can know things and know that we know, and this includes knowledge of God. Faith is not something in place of knowledge or that starts where knowledge ends, except in certain experiences in life.

The Eternal Almighty created evil (Isaiah, Job, Amos, Jer, 1 Sam, Psalm 105 etc) otherwise there would be no contrast to what is good, just, upright and so on. All sin is evil, but not all evil is sin. Selah.

WHAT? So you think that God is a sinner like you?

Which part of "All sin is evil, but not all evil is sin" is giving you such a problem?

PS don't bother answering, because any form of truth gives you a problem. Slams your eyes shut and stops your ears.

Everything that God created originally was perfect including Satan/Lucifer the original sinner. To say that God created evil is just evil!

....and you haven't checked the scriptures.I'm not saying that the Almighty created evil. The scriptures say that. If you'd read the Bible you'd know.

This is why the bible was kept out of the hands of common folk for so long! They would be plucking out their eyes and chopping off their hands because Jesus said so.

There is a secondary sense in which evil things happen on earth now, and that is permitted to go on for now. But that is not the sense Dr. Schaeffer was referring to. For the same reason, when God judged Israel in 2 destructions of Jerusalem, or when he will judge and punish at the end of time, that is not evil; it is necessary, without which there is no justice.

You should read the Bible.

LOL...and during that dark age it was the hands which kept the Bible who plucked out eyes and chopped off other hands...
