Knight forgot to correct that typo.

The debate actually begins with our team's first post, which will be on Monday, that is in approximately 48 hours.

That was the original date, but we changed it to the 29th because it worked better for both teams.

Yes, you missed it. Here it is in bold:

When: The debate will begin on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at noon (MDT). GodsfreeWill's team will post first since they are arguing for the affirmative. Nicholsmom's team will have 48 hours to post their rebuttal. THERE WILL NOT BE A WEEKEND BREAK FOR THIS BATTLE.

Our respective churches don't meet on Monday. (At least last I checked. I used to go to GFW's church, actually.)

    Let's get this thing started.
Futility: "More than at any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to despair and hopelessness; the other, to total extinction. Let us pray that we will have the wisdom to choose correctly. I speak, by the way, not with any sense of futility, but with a panicky conviction of the absolute meaninglessness of existence."

    Hope:

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthyŚmeditate on these things.
