There was a second killing in Charlotte as demonstrator attacked the police, someone in the crowd of protesters shot another protester.

"One person was shot dead on Wednesday in a second night of unrest in Charlotte, North Carolina, officials said, as riot police fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse unruly protesters after the fatal police shooting of a black man.

Charlotte Police Chief Kerr Putney confirmed that a person shot during the protest had died but did not identify the individual or the origin of the gunfire.

However, city officials said in a Twitter message that the fatal gunshot was fired by one civilian at another, not by police. A police officer was also being treated for injuries suffered during the protests, the city said. "

There seems to be a heightened escalation of violence! In the sixities we had riots and it seems that it is starting again.
What do you think? Are police too eager to shoot black men, or are they very scared and shoot at the slightest provocation? Is there a big increase to urban vilonce?

Here is what one responded had to say. "Racism starts when others call people names and are not in compliance with the law. There has been no reason for the rioting, shooting and lawlessness here. To blame the police for trying to keep order is just plain wrong. The people do not follow the law anymore when they disrespect the law. These are the real deplorables. "

And another opinion. "Let me guess...this all could have been avoided if North Carolina would have let the men in Charlotte used women's rest rooms because it's their right or something? "
It seems everyone has an opinion.

The media is causing violence in America. As long as they keep using buzz words and enunciating things meant to only fuel emotion, violence in these matters are just going to keep perpetuating.

The Bible teaches that words in fact kill, and yet nobody is focusing on the voices possessing impressionable people. Instead, people want to blame everything on imaginary biases and inanimate objects.

The police like Asians. They are hard-working and stay out of trouble. It seems they were raised that way. The same can be said about most Hispanics, yet the police do not trust them as much, partly because of the immigration issue.

It is true, the media makes it worse, as the media player on 'race relations', usually defined as friction between blacks and whites.

I had thought we had gotten past this 'race' friction, but it seems not to be the case?

They don't work harder than the next person. Where they excel at is in not being adversarial to one another. They share the wealth among each other and rip off other people the best they know how.

Here is the issue. Look at demographics and then the pie chart posted. You will see Hispanics are slightly over-represented being confronted and killed by police. Now, even though that is not a statistical average, any point can be used as an average for a purpose of comparison. Now, let us say the Hispanic is the mean, then we see, white people, by demographics, are less likely to be seen as dangerous by police and Asians are seen as, perhaps even less likely, thus they have the lowest violent encounters with police. While black people have, by far, the highest potential of have a violent encounter with police.

The upshot of this is not police are out to get blacks, after all, the Charlotte killing was a black officer shooter, so, the potential for violence is related to the perception of greater need to fear a violent encounter when confronting a black male. This seems true whether the officer is of any ethnicity.

Blacks are ever the victims, held down by the man. It gets worse with every generation. Fact: If you don't follow police commands you may get shot and killed.

Maybe because Caucasians make up about 72% of the population and African Americans make up about 12% of the population.

What can we say?.... There are several countries more violent than USA...Somalia, Mali, Sudan, Syria. Hardly what you would wish to be compared to... But when you compare America to other nations based on British common law, like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, lets face it....You're nuts!!! People being shot everywhere, everyday. I wonder how it will end??

Colonial America, here and south, were slave stares, or territories. When this ended, few came to see blacks as equal, and with the time of civil rights, many thought the 'race' issue had been resolved, yet anyone could see it had not been successful. We have mostly blacks living in parts of larger cities where there is little connection with the the majority of society. Over time, these ghettos became worse, and now we have a real problem.

Canada never had much of a slave society; fewer black people move to Canada. In Australia, the native blacks were not taken as slaves, in fact, they were treated much like our native Americans. This is why the USA has unique problems; a large minority of US citizens feel disenfranchised. No simple solution, as measures to remedy this alienation, used in the past will change the situation, as these measures failed.

Caucasian cannot be separated from what it does not mean, as it denotes what it is not. Races:Negroid, Caucasoid, and Mongoloid/ Part of our problem is we wade deep in the same silty we may wish to escape. You cannot have one and not the others.
