Hi to all and Acts 13:49 reads , And the WORD of the Lord was BEING DIFFERENT through out the whole region !!

#1 , And in verse 46 , Paul and Barnabas were in the synagogue preaching to Jews , in verses 38-45 !!

#2, The verb WAS PUBLISHED / DIFFERENT / DIAPHERO is in the Greek IMPERFECT TENSE which means Paul was going to preach to the Jew and then STOP PREACHING to them the Christ / Messiah !!

#3 , This verb is in the Passive Voice and means that God is performing the action !!

#4 The INDICATIVE MOOD means verse 49 is a FACT !!

#5, So we still see that Israel has 2 more opportunity to repent , in Acts 18:6 and in Acts 28:28 !!

Also we see that Israel will soon be set aside as recorded in 2 Cor 3:13-15 and then there will only be ONE GOSPEL , called the Dispensation of the Grace of God , Col 1:25 and 26 and all sign gifts , 1 Cor 13:8 and Water Baptism as written in Heb 6:1-2 will END !!

You, Jerry, and Interplanner each share in the habit of posting an assertion in response to someone's post on a thread elsewhere on here, followed by then posting said assertion again, as it's own, new thread.

Repeatedly so...

:chuckle:

Rom. 5:6-8.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon

STRONGS NT 1308: διαφέρω

διαφέρω; 2 aorist διηνεγκον (but the subjunctive 3 person singular διενέγκῃ (Mark 11:16), the only aorist form which occurs, can come as well from 1 aorist διήνεγκα; cf Veitch, under the word φέρω, at the end); passive (present διαφέρομαι); imperfect διεφερομην; (from Homer (h. Merc. 255), Pindar down);

1. to bear or carry through any place: σκεῦος διά τοῦ ἱεροῦ, Mark 11:16.
.....................................

All translations I have examined translate this word at Acts 13:49 as defined above:

"Acts 13:49 So the word of the Lord was being spread (diephereto | διεφέρετο | imperf pass ind 3 sg) throughout the whole region."

Can you find any English Bible which renders diephereto in Acts 13:49. Why is Mounce rejecting your translation of Acts 13:49?

Acts 13:49 https://www.studylight.org/commentaries/rwp/acts-13.html A.T. Robertson's Word Pictures in the New Testament:

"Was spread abroad (διεπερετο — diephereto). Imperfect passive of διαπερω — diapherō to carry in different directions (δια — dia). By the recent converts as well as by Paul and Barnabas. This would seem to indicate a stay of some months with active work among the Gentiles that bore rich fruit." - [the parts written in Greek letters have been added to Robertson's original writing. That is why we can see an error in the Greek words written διεπερετο and διαπερω - T2]

Why does Dr. Robertson disagree with your interpretation?
