The Gospel is the POWER of God Unto Salvation. Not Religion

The power of God: The English words "dynamite" and "Dynamo are derived from the word "Power." If Paul were writing today he would probably speak of atomic power. The Gospel is so powerful that it takes people all the way into heaven. Salvation: This is past, Luke 7:50; Romans 1-3; present, Romans 6:3-11 and future 2 Corinthians 4:15 also Romans 5:10; Romans 8:16-25. Paul will develop the full breadth of this truth throughout this epistle. Everyone that believeth: The basis of salvation is God's gracious provision, Romans 3:23-26. But the only means by which the sinner can appropriate this gift is faith, Romans 10:9-17.. The Gospel is the essential content of that faith. This is why Paul is so burdened to preach Christ to the world. (taken from my Bible notes.)

Paul spent over 20 years of his life and traveled over 10,000 miles preaching the Gospel to anyone that would hear it. There are memorials to Paul in every city all along the upper region of the Mediterranean sea that can still be seen today. Paul was not taking a poll to see who had been predestinated, nor was Paul building elaborate Cathedrals. Paul's obsession was to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thousands upon thousands heard Paul's message of Jesus Christ and became believers in Christ and his Gospel.

When Peter preached the Gospel on the day of Pentecost, again, thousands and thousands of Jews were converted to Jesus Christ, Acts 2:41 also Acts 4:4. Some of those that heard the Gospel and believed had participated in the crucifixion of Christ, Acts 2:36. The Holy Spirit and the Gospel are inseparable. When the Gospel is preached the Holy Spirit is there to convict people of their sins and the need to be saved by Christ, Acts 2:37.

You preach a law based gospel, either do or die, a threatening gospel.

Your Calvinist God cannot be loved or trusted.

Who could believe or have faith in a God that creates life for the sole purpose of sending it to hell? I think that you would be better off to believe in no God at all than to believe in such a cruel unjust God as Calvinism.

Faith is not a 'do'. When we hear something we either believe it or we don't like when the bible declares that Jesus is the savior of the world you simply don't believe.

Faith is a matter of doing of the law Matt 23:

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

The law was the Torah to the 1st century mindset you moron. The faith of Abraham was found in Genesis.

The natural / carnal person's attempt at believing, is a work of the Law they do, a condition they think they meet by their freewill decision to get themselves saved, but to nought.

Gal. 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Rom. 8:8
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Only once a person has been made Spiritually Alive, Born Again John 3:6-7 and given the Fruit of Faith Gal. 5:22, is he able do the work of Believing / Faith which pleases God.

Heb. 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Ps. 14:1-2
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

It's only once a person is Saved, Born of the Spirit, can they also do the good work of seeking Him!

But before a person is Born of the Spirit, works he does such as believing, receiving, repenting, praying, confessing, etc. are nothing but filthy rags in God's Sight Is 64:6.

We can only be born of the Spirit by hearing and believing the Gospel.

"So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" Romans 10:17. Which is the Gospel.

"Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Galatians 3:2. Which is by hearing and believing the Gospel.
