Don't Vote for Trump

Sad, but possibly true.
As a non American... I love the USA. I love the Christian roots of your nation and the positive influence, for the most part, it has been in our world. But, over the past years it seems that the USA has been turning further and further from God. I pray not, but wonder if we are witnessing the decline of the 'great American empire.'
Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance

God chose Americas as his inheritance? :AMR:

Do these "Christians" actually know what secular humanist/pro LGBTQ/pro abortion/pro socialist/sexual degenerate Donald Trump stands for, or are they putting on the 3 monkeys act?

Well, we have ONLY two choices. "Hillary the Evil" or "Trump the Nasty mouth." I'll stick with "Trump the Nasty Mouth." I'm proud to say I already voted for Trump and feel secure in my choice. I did the right thing as a member of the Body of Christ.

What Hillary has to offer the U.S.:

1) A greater chance of War with Russia, China, and North Korea.
2) Greater debt. It's at 20 Trillion dollars thanks to Obama's genius.
3) She will carry on the Obama legacy and has said so.
4) Abortion on demand.
5) Continued controversy over the Clinton criminal mindset.
6) Possible Nuclear exchange with Russia, China, and North Korea.
7) More crimes being exposed in the Clinton White House.
8) Possible Impeachment process.
9) Chelsea Clinton being groomed for President after Hillary leaves office. (Speculative, of course.)
10)A far greater possibility of our country going under.
11)More attacks against the second Amendment.
12)More civil unrest.
13)Open borders.
14)More policing of the world.
15)More "Hawkish" behavior from Jezebel, I mean Hillary. (Freudian Slip)
16)Financial devastation.
17)Mysterious suicides?
18)More pay for play.
19)A greater chance of our country becoming an EVIL Empire.
20)Political Correctness on Steroids.
21)Our country being lead by one of the most corrupt regimes in history.

If a candidate for President should show some signs of being led by God, then some on TOL would argue against him or her for that very reason.

Don't forget that as you vote for her by not voting Trump. You choose a baby killing. lying crook under FBI investigation for your leader - more Obama
Not voting for Trump does not mean you voted for Hillary. Only idiots and fools buy into that partisan BS.

Go and vote for the candidates you want in office, and don't vote for the candidates you don't want in office. It's that simple. Whoever wins, wins, but it won't be because you threw away your own integrity and common sense and voted for someone you didn't want in office.

Very few people are so stupid that they actually WANT Donald Trump in office. Yet they are going to forfeit their own integrity because they fear Hillary will win, otherwise, and they don't want her in office. But she's going to win, anyway, because almost no one actually wants Trump in office. So why sell yourself out for a losing cause that you don't even believe in to begin with?

That's just stupid.

Though not as stupid as actually WANTING Trump in office.

The way you can tell the reasoning here is seriously flawed is by just flipping the names...

When the exact same argument works equally well both for and against you, its not really an argument. In this case, its because the attempted argument is too generic.

Trump wants liberal to stay home and Hillary really really wants conservatives to stay home. The winner of the election is going to come down to which of those two groups stay home more than the other.

On Tuesday, millions of Conservative and Evangelical Christians will cast their ballot for Donald Trump. Some will do so for the Supreme Court, others will do so out of partisan loyalty (Republicans do well among those who frequently attend church), and some do so because they genuinely like the man.

Wrong you blithering idiot. I will vote for the Washington outsider anti-establishment candidate. The alternative is even worse than Obama.

Well, that would be stupid, because the two candidates are not equivalent. And if they were, the option of not voting for either of them still remains. So your objections based on "name-flipping" are completely bogus.

Not voting for Hillary does not mean you voted for Trump. Only idiots and fools buy into that partisan BS.
This is true regardless of your "flipping the names". Not voting for either is not voting for either. What kind of a moron doesn't understand this?

Go and vote for the candidates you want in office, and don't vote for the candidates you don't want in office. It's that simple. Whoever wins, wins, but it won't be because you threw away your own integrity and common sense and voted for someone you didn't want in office.

Except that this argument does not work equally well, because the candidates are not equally bad. Regardless of what 'side' you're on, you think your side's candidate is less bad than the other side's. Even though you think they're both bad. My argument is against supporting this "less bad" option, because it demoralizes us all. If we don't like either option we should not vote for either option. Plain and simple … and HONEST. Just because the candidates and their parties have no honestly or integrity does not mean that we have to forfeit ours, as well.

Trump wants liberal to stay home and Hillary really really wants conservatives to stay home.
Why should we care who wants whom to stay home? Why should their lack of integrity make us forfeit ours? Not voting for either one of them is not voting for either one of them. Its not "voting for the other one". And claiming that it is, as so many are doing, is lying. We expect the candidates to lie to us. And we expect their parties to lie to us. But let's stop lying to ourselves and each other. Refusing to vote for Hillary is NOT A VOTE FOR TRUMP. And refusing to vote for Trump IS NOT A VOTE FOR HILLARY. And claiming that they are is lying. And believing that they are is stupid.

The winner of the election is going to come down to which of those two groups stay home more than the other.
The winner of the election is going to come down to how many votes each candidate got. Not how many votes the other candidate DID NOT GET. If we do not want either of them to be president, we should not vote for either of them to be president. Let's stop lying to ourselves and to each other about this. There are enough lies out there already.

It only seems like stupidity to those that think matters of opinion are matters of fact.

This is true regardless of your "flipping the names". Not voting for either is not voting for either. What kind of a moron doesn't understand this?
Whether is not voting for either or not, it does help one side or the other win depending on who it is doing the not voting. Which side would be happier if you decided to stay home is an answer only you know for certain but whichever it is, is the one you helped win.

Except that this argument does not work equally well, because the candidates are not equally bad. Keep telling yourself that while you help whichever side you think is worse, win.

Why should we care who wants whom to stay home? Why should their lack of integrity make us forfeit ours? Not voting for either one of them is not voting for either one of them. I've never stated that not voting for one is a vote for the other, I've simply claimed and continue to claim that a conservative that stays home helps Hillary win and a liberal that stays home helps Trump win.

This is not even debatable. There is a reason why both sides spend millions of dollars in an effort to get people to show up and vote.

The winner of the election is going to come down to how many votes each candidate got. Not how many votes the other candidate DID NOT GET.
This simply pretends like people don't stay home. If Christians didn't stay home in '08 there would be no Obama Care today. Staying home has consequences.

If we do not want either of them to be president, we should not vote for either of them to be president. Let's stop lying to ourselves and to each other about this. There are enough lies out there already.
This would only make sense if the winner was required to get an affirmative vote from the majority of the population to win. There are approximately 242 million voting age people in this country. If the requirement was that the winner must get 121 million +1 votes to win then your statement would be valid and true. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. There likely won't even be that many people vote at all nevermind for one candidate and all that is necessary to win is to get a plurality of the votes cast. Therefore, since a little less than half of the people vote, anyone who stays home has about half as much of an effect on who wins as a person who does (presuming that each candidate would have gotten an equal number of the votes that stayed home). This is why you often hear people say that a vote for one side that stays home is half a vote for the other side.

I don't know how much they know. But I'm sure there are Christians who will vote for Hillary tomorrow as well. Christians can be wrong sometimes.

The one that wants to do business there. Same with Chicago and other places. Do you need a lesson in the real world? Nice red herring and misdirection. I didn't expect a real answer.

Did you hear the fat lady? I haven't.

I know the election has seemed interminable to a lot of people, and it has been grueling for many, but this "well, it's almost over" or "it's finally over" thing seems like a lot of wishful thinking.

Whether Trump or Clinton gets sworn in is just the surface of something much, much larger. When the election is officially called, it will just be the beginning of the next phase.

In either case "we the people" will be screwed. We will all be working longer and harder to make the very wealthy even more wealthy. And anyone who dares to dissent in word or deed will be further marginalized and punished for it. All hail the new overlords; the "job creators" who hold our very lives in their hands! And who we must worship and obey, lest we be consigned to unemployment, social ostracism, and economic death.
