It was expected; hence, the time is short. this is how almost all of Paul's eschatology is. The end of the world is expected after awful events in Israel.

Paul wasn't speaking about the end of the world, he was speaking about the end of the old covenant, the temple, Jerusalem, etc.

What Paul was speaking about happened in 70AD. That's why Paul said the "the time is short".

I don't know why a change of the covenant would affect your marriage or your involvement in business or owning things and property. What are you talking about? It never did so in Hebrews or 2 Cor 5.

There are simply too many places where Paul's understanding of the future was no delay at all between what would happen in Israel and then the whole world.

It is fascinating to find Peter addressing the delay and saying 'some things in Paul's (Scriptures) are hard to understand' in the same chapter! This is one of the hard-to-understand.

Was it ever?

It was to be preached as being on planet earth. That is the mentality of Ps 2, which is what early Acts sets upon. So vital that they pray Ps 2 to gain victory over the leaders of Judaism. Acts 26 shows Paul, not as an anarchist against Rome, but attempting to lead Rome to righteousness. As you may know Vespasian took this seriously enough to try to outlaw adultery. It didn't do much good, but he was impacted that much by Paul.

"The kingdom of God shall be taken from YOU and given...."

Did the Pharisees have the kingdom on earth, or were they somehow in heaven when the LORD spoke this?

That's a different question than splitting hairs over KoGod, heaven, Christ, but you're right: it always was on earth, not as a formal state like "Judea" or "Idumea" or "Egypt" but as God's hand at work through his community. He took it from them and was giving it to people who would spread the Gospel, the people Christ had been recruiting.

He did not take it from the state of "Judea" either. He took the spiritual commission away from the teachers of Judaism and gave it to his students.

Future tense "shall be taken"

No, the Pharisees didn't have the kingdom on earth.

The kingdom was "at hand".

(Mark 1:15 KJV) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Are you claiming the kingdom was taken from the Jews and given to the Jews?

If not, then who was the kingdom given to?

Indeed . .

The Kingdom cannot be separated from the authority of the Gospel. The Gospel message contains the "keys of the kingdom". Matthew 16:19

Here IS what Luke 12:32 means :

#1, The first verb is FEAR and is in the Present tense , in Jesus earthly ministry and is CONTINUOUSLY !!

#2 And the second verb is GOOD PLEASURE and is in the Aorist tense or what we call Past tense and that points to the time of ther disciples !!

#3 , The third verb is TO GIVE and that is also in the AORIST TENSE and points to Christ earthly ministy , as it is given to the 12 apostles !!

This Kingdom will be given to gthe disciples in the Kngdom of Heaven or what is called the 1000 REIGN of Christ and this has yet to happen and the Jews have waited 2000 years , plus , so mush for PRETERISM or for PENTECOSTALS !!

Yes, that's correct.

Now read John 10:16:

(John 10:16) I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

There is one flock and one shepherd.

Who were the other sheep who became one flock with the little flock?

Hi and since the 2 verbs in John 10:16 are in three Greek FUTURE TENSE and these verbs are , THEY SHALL HEAR and THERE SHALL BE and there is only ONE SHEEP HOLD and that is in the Millennium where the 12 Apostles and those ENDURE to the END of the GREAT TRIBULATION will REIGN as Kings and Priests in the 1000 years Rev 1:6 and in Ex 19:6 !!
This where Israel and Judah become ONE STICK !!

That happened when the New Covenant was implemented with the shed blood of Jesus on the cross.

There has to be blood for the covenant to be put in place.

If it's a future event, then Jesus would have to come back and shed His blood again.
