The five original lies, from which all other lies flow

These are the lies of Satan in the Garden, taking two basic forms. But first, Satan tries to open the mind to doubt what God has said:

"Yeah, hath God said...?"

Once that door is open, the lies come.

DENIALS OF WHAT GOD HAD SAID
1) denial of the reality and the curse of death ("Ye shall not surely die")
2) denial of God's honesty and caring ("For God doth know that if...")

FALSE PROMISES TO REPLACE WHAT GOD HAD SAID
3) promise of enlightenment ("Eyes opened")
4) promise of divinity and power ("Be as gods")
5) promise of hidden knowledge ("Knowing good from evil")

The offshoots of all five initial lies can be seen daily on TOL. Satan doesn't care which exact forms of the lies are believed, only that the lies replace the truth of what God has said.

Every lie preys upon the selfishness of mankind - Selfishness

Like the kingdom gospel that says you can be saved by keeping the law? Another lie of Satan.

Everyone seems to skip over vs. 22 when reading that chapter:

And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

And?

Thread is about Satan's lies but your point is?

You're a Mormon, huh.

3, 4 and 5 were not lies. God himself confirmed that in verse 22.

The point is to understand how Satan lies: he places his lie in a sea of truth to better hide it.

They fit the Madist doctrine well.

No they don't. But they DO reflect your charismatic beliefs to a T.

*the 'elite' with apostolic era sign gifts (that they never seem to catch on camera)
*the Little Gods doctrine, which you believe in
*the so-called 'words of knowledge' and 'gift of prophecy' or rhema or whatever your pentecostal false prophet witch doctors call it

Gee you seem to hate anything of the Holy Spirit, you must be a madist.

Now I get it -- that's how you felt free to threaten other TOL members with death for disagreeing with you. You're a "little God," just like Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn and Paul Crouch! Now it makes sense.

No, I love the things of God.

It's the doctrines of demons that I hate. Which you love.

You regard anything which disagrees with Madism as being demonic.

This is why those things speak of the error of madism.

3) promise of enlightenment ("Eyes opened")
4) promise of divinity and power ("Be as gods")
5) promise of hidden knowledge ("Knowing good from evil")

You learnt that from a liar, and you pass it on.

You demonstrate how the liar works.

First you make an unfounded accusation then you ask if I believe what these men say.

I believe Jesus is the first born of many brethren, as the Bible says.

Make of it as you like.
