Here's a further thought. If Trump wanted to build a golf course in Scotland then fine, and in a memoriam to his mother it would almost be kinda touching.
So, why not get planning permission to build it on an area of non conserved land and where people aren't actually already living on it?

A lot of people weren't happy with how the authorities handled it and allowed him to bulldoze his way through, the documentary touches on that as well.
