From what life is and what it means to obey God's commands (and live thereby), to if the death penalty exists for new covenant believers (these have received the gospel of Jesus Christ at its proclamation), what can we answer from the Torah itself and the rest of scripture?

"The Just Shall Live By Faith" Romans 1:17 and not by rules, laws or religion.

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" Romans 8:14.

How do you know you are being led by God's Spirit? Are there no imitators?

Jesus said, "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect."
(Matthew 24:24)

Without standards to guide us we can be deceived.

To be led by the Spirit of God is to be led by the Gospel and the fact that you have been justified by faith apart from the law.

Living by faith may involve rules, laws or religion. It certainly involves obedience to God's commands.

Christians are not obligated to obey the commandments. Trying to keep the commandments will make you sin more, Romans 7:7-12.

It is only when you are free from the law that you can obey the law.

Obedience to God is not impossible.

If you're guilty of one sin, you are guilty of all.

If you have broken one command in the Law then you have broken the Law. Transgressing one command makes you a transgressor of the law.

James 2:10 NASB - 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

If you break one command you have broken the commands to love God and love your neighbor, which is what the whole law is about.

James 1:22
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

For the love of God remember and keep the Sabbath.

With all due respect CherubRam, are you thinking I am speaking of the Sabbath command? The Sabbath command is one of God's commands.
