John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God so loved the world that he gave.

Who did He give?

a. Himself, a triune God, all three parts, for God is three parts for the trinitarian, thus for God to die, all three must die

b. the only begotten son of God


Seems the answer is as plain as can be for anyone who can read and read John 3:16

That is plain, there is no triune God. Because God cant die.

Time to read this verse for what it says.

Jesus spoke those words because he spoke what God told him to speak.

Time is now to believe what he said.

His incarnate Son, who is God in the flesh (John 1:1, 1:14).

Evidently, "the only begotten son of God" does not mean "only begotten son of God"

Jesus Christ is not "God in the flesh" show me where that is quoted from.

The logos, the word, is a message, Jesus is God's logos, in the flesh, not God himself in the flesh.

Just how gullible to you think I am?

He gave of himself when he created the Creator Son who is the Father of our world.

The later interpretation that Jesus was some sort of substitute sacrifice to pay a sin debt wasn't a part of the original Gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus had hoped the Jews would adopt and teach from Jerusalem.

It was the original gospel that angered the Jews to the point of wanting to kill Jesus. It should be obvious then then that killing Jesus wasn't the gospel. Killing Jesus was a rejection of the gospel and an un-choosing of the false prophets.

You are right when you say "He gave of himself" He did give himself, he gave OF himself.

Jesus is the son OF God. Jesus is the son of God, not God himself
