Communism is socialism taken to its absolute extreme. The kind of socialism that Bernie Sanders represents is pretty tame. Take a look at his platform. Outside of his 90% income tax proposal (which he's said he'd be willing to compromise on), he isn't that much of a socialist

No, communism is a form of socialism. Islam, Marxism, National Socialism, Facism....all cut from the same cloth. Marxism just doesn't want any free trade, whereas the others see the rigged system as something the government should have heavy direct control over. This is why Bammy is actually a Nazi. He knows the commies all starved and so he will let the market function in a way he sees fit.

They also believe that only men should own anything of value, aren't real keen on distribution of their personal wealth, aren't democratic in any sense, and so on.

Nick, just because Al Qaeda opposes the free market doesn't make them socialists. They oppose free markets because that is of the West, and they hate the west. Therefore they see free market capitalism as bad.

I am going to refrain from inserting the name in the quote text. Give it your best guess. It isn't Bernie Sanders. And while it drips of Adolph Hitler, it isn't him either. And it isn't Traditio either, who claims he doesn't get my equating his beliefs with murderers either. Then again, he is a moron.

Values, correct. Capitalism isn't a value. They hate us because they think we're sinful and must be punished for that. Opening a small business doesn't count as a sin in Islam as far as I know

Today's nations of the world have what can be called "mixed economies" and even "mixed governments."

Terms like capitalism, communism, socialism and fascism are leftover words from the 19th century. They are no longer seen as existing anywhere in a "pure" form.

China is both capitalistic and communistic. America is both capitalistic with some aspects of socialism (from our national defense down to libraries and police and fire departments).

People are less ideological today than pragmatic.

but as others have said, communism & socialism are close

socialism is just making things LOOK like they haven't been confiscated entirely by the gov... you know... business title still in owner's name but with all the taxes and regulations...

communism is when they don't try to hid it..
