Other than give birth to our Savior, Mary plays no part in the Grace of God given
to those who place their faith in Christ as their Savior.

You are so close to understanding, so very close. It is ALL about the visual similarities. God says worship Me! but what are people to think when they look at you bowed before a statue is form that is identical to those who worshiped a golden calf?

Still, there's an undeniable difference between attending a ritual to another god, and simply bowing.

If this is, as you say, all about the visual similarity, then the real question is this - is it ever acceptable to bow? Is this to be done only in worship?

Does Scripture support the opinion that bowing is to be done only in worship?

The only difference us completely in your mind. To the outside observer, there is no difference in bowing to a golden calf and a statue of Mary. Bowing to Mary is actually worse as God commanded us not to make such statues.

your bible tells you that Jesus came into this world thru mary

And what does that have to do with going to her as a mediator to God of which the Scriptures clearly state there is but ONE and that is Jesus Christ?

As the RCC gives Mary a position of a mediator is again non-Scriptural. (which most all Catholic traditions are)

BTW, Mary was a Jew of the tribe of Judah who also kept the seventh Day Sabbath as did Jesus.
