I suppose its not so fantastic a possibility or leap of faith that believing in a virgin birth, talking donkey, floating axehead, walking on water, parting a sea, raining manna or quail, or turning sticks to serpents might be, which non-believers might call 'baloney'. We can name other spectacular events in religious writings chalked up as wonderful miracles and certain doctrines and dogma that require faith to believe in. All depends on point of view and what you're willing to believe eh?
Also, how do you know for certain that all revelation of God and the cosmos is confined to, limited to only one collection of books sanctioned by one particular religious tradition/culture, and that such a limited grant is final, perfect, complete? It is more logical to assume 'progressive revelation' in time, as man evolves and becomes ready/receptive to more perfect revelation, higher truths, successive dispensations. An 'epochal revelation' takes place as normal evolution progresses in a civilization at a special time when conditions qualify it, to uplift/augment/enhance man's course. Hence man's religion progresses thru both 'evolution' and 'revelation'.

It's because Christians are born into the bible stories that they don't really sound so odd, but when missionaries go to descendants of the ancient Chinese dynasty's and try to convince them they they are actually Jews descended from Noah that they get sort of a blank, puzzled response.

I love how the UBers challenge the Bible's authenticity but fall hook, line and sinker for a book written by a bunch of conmen who won't even reveal their true identities.

UB wrong about Zeke being a fan, It's anti Gnostic stance soured me on it, plus this challenge about authenticity revolves around the literal interpretation which is the killer of the spiritual metaphors it contains which have merit to be considered by all, it's the exclusive club mentality of the literal reading that as bred a religious insanity and blindness to its own violence and bloodshed the it has left in it's wake through history, the ones silenced from the start of the literal lie were the Gnostic types that grasps it inward message being the correct application of text gathered from many sources and prior cultures, sorry if that burst your exclusive dogma bubble.

We might remind you that a good number of biblical books are 'pseudographical', their author can only be speculated. Scribes also could take some 'creative license'. The personalities presenting the various papers are listed at the end of each paper, for example Paper 2 [Presented by a Divine Counselor acting by authority of the Ancients of Days on Uversa.] The various celestial personalities and what order of sonship they belong to are described. A certain paper is often appropriately presented by an order of being whose knowledge corresponds with the subject.
As far as authenticity of a writing is concerned one must read, consider, ponder over the words using his own faculties of intelligence and spiritual discernment, being led by the Spirit. The consistency, integrity, truth of something will bear its own witness.

(829.3) 74:2.1 Adam and Eve fell asleep on Jerusem, and when they awakened in the Father’s temple on Urantia in the presence of the mighty throng assembled to welcome them, they were face to face with two beings of whom they had heard much, Van and his faithful associate Amadon. These two heroes of the Caligastia secession were the first to welcome them in their new garden home.
(829.4) 74:2.2 The tongue of Eden was an Andonic dialect as spoken by Amadon. Van and Amadon had markedly improved this language by creating a new alphabet of twenty-four letters, and they had hoped to see it become the tongue of Urantia as the Edenic culture would spread throughout the world. Adam and Eve had fully mastered this human dialect before they departed from Jerusem so that this son of Andon heard the exalted ruler of his world address him in his own tongue.

(829.7) 74:2.5 Soon after their awakening, Adam and Eve were escorted to the formal reception on the great mound to the north of the temple. This natural hill had been enlarged and made ready for the installation of the world’s new rulers. Here, at noon, the Urantia reception committee welcomed this Son and Daughter of the system of Satania. Amadon was chairman of this committee, which consisted of twelve members embracing a representative of each of the six Sangik races; the acting chief of the midwayers; Annan, a loyal daughter and spokesman for the Nodites; Noah, the son of the architect and builder of the Garden and executive of his deceased father’s plans; and the two resident Life Carriers.

The dispensation of the Prince has passed; the age of Adam, the third planetary epoch, opens amidst scenes of simple grandeur; and the new rulers of Urantia start their reign under seemingly favorable conditions, notwithstanding the world-wide confusion occasioned by lack of the co-operation of their predecessor in authority on the planet.*

Yes, you have, but only to YOUR satisfaction. The truth about the UB, such as the quote I took: "...it (the UB) acts as a soothing balm which takes away all of the ugliness and the uncomfortable feeling that is associated with Christ's Sacrifice." ... isn't defensible, as the whole of the UB isn't defensible. It contradicts Scripture, while pretending to be Truth revealed from God. In fact: it has nothing to do with God or Truth.
That's because he is a believer in Jesus, Who is Christ, not Jebus, the false god of the UB that doesn't even exist.
Praise God. The UB is nothing but demonic doctrine. When will you understand that? :duh:
That's irrelevant to the greater truth, that the UB tries to make Christ into an angel of whom there are at least 699,999 others.
