Is marital rape scripturally defensible?

considered by experts in the field of counseling who work with them, especially in the military (like my psych professor)

'experts' who cannot even expertise in how to cure a cold.

The only considered 'expert' in a raped woman is the woman.
She went through the rape, an 'expert' did not. Thank you very much.

The only considered 'expert' in a raped man is the man.
He went through the rape, an 'expert' did not. Thank you very much.

So, genuineoriginal, if you held your wife down and forced yourself on her, you believe you would not be raping her.

YES or NO?

Any other 'Christian' men agree with genuineoriginal and Crucible?

Forced sex with the wife is like rape. but ,what husband should do if his wife refuses many times?

We don't bash victims. We point out dangerous behavior regardless if it precedes a rape or not. We also bash redefinitions of rape and false accusations and false stats on rape.and its motivations....but never once have we ever bashed a TRUE victim of REAL rape.

Oh, I see how she thought we were bashing victims.

Feminism is based on the victim mentality, all females are victims, so anybody questioning a feminist agenda must be bashing the feminists, who are by definition the victims of all the evil of men everywhere.

So, we are not bashing any real victim, only the fake victim feminists.

Not raping her would be a start ...

IF a partner does not want to have sex, something else is going on. FORCING sex will only make matters worse OR destroy the marriage completely.

I have not found a single poster in this thread that would disagree with this.
Many have made the exact same point from both sides of the argument over the legal definition of rape.

In regards to anyone's *love* life, a person who would force himself sexually on another is incapable of love. They equate love with power and aggression.

True, but these throw backs to the dark ages are presenting themselves as experts on the definition of marital sex, so, maybe they could share how well their relationships are going?

Well, we know that a few are no longer in their marital relationship ... and we know that Crucible (aka Sum1sgruj, Homeskillet, Skybringr) is extremely bitter towards all things female.

I am relying on thousands of years of common law for the historical definition of rape.

Since when has the 1960s been considered the dark ages?

Against your will is not the same as no consent. The victim must state she does not want sex. Otherwise, the perpetrator can legally claim he did not know it was against her will. If she ever says contradictory things or says nothing at all, her will is not clear. The two are certainly not the same.
But by this reasoning, a woman cannot change her mind. Nor can she agree to some intimacy without agreeing to any and all intimacy. Because if she does allow for any intimacy, she will not be able to "contradict" herself by limiting that intimacy in any way for fear of "confusing" the man, and thereby giving him the right to do as he pleases.

This is why the whole idea of placing the onus on the woman, for the man's behavior, is simply wrong, and unworkable.
