How lovely!
Takes me back. After the bedtime ritual had been completed, baths, bedtime stories, prayers and last drinks of water I would say good night to my five children and turn out the light.
Later, as I prepared for bed, I would look in on each of them and feel such gratitude to be their mother. My children in their clean little beds, sleeping peacefully, cherished and loved and safe.
