Joe Biden Favorite Among the Democrats

Democrat Lucy Flores was preparing to give one of her final stump speeches in a race for lieutenant governor in Nevada when she felt two hands on her shoulders. She froze. “Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?” Flores wondered.

Flores recounts her experience with Joe Biden in a first-person essay for New York Magazine, describing an incident in 2014 where Biden came up behind her, leaned in, smelled her hair, and kissed the back of her head.

“Biden was the second-most powerful man in the country and, arguably, one of the most powerful men in the world. He was there to promote me as the right person for the lieutenant governor job. Instead, he made me feel uneasy, gross, and confused.”

New York Magazine reached out to a Biden spokesperson, who declined to comment.

Flores’s experience isn’t unique. It is no secret in Washington that Biden has touched numerous women inappropriately in public. It’s just never been treated as a serious issue by the mainstream press.

Biden’s been caught on camera embracing a female reporter from behind and gripping her above her waist, just below her bust. At a swearing-in ceremony for Defense Secretary Ash Carter, Biden put his hands on the shoulders of Stephanie Carter, Carter’s wife, and then leaned in and whispered into her ear. (He’s whispered into many women’s ears.) He’s also touched women’s faces and necks during other photo ops. Once at a swearing-in ceremony for a US senator, he held the upper arm of the senator’s preteen daughter, leaned down and whispered into her ear, as she became visibly uncomfortable. Then he kissed the side of her forehead, a gesture that made the girl flinch.

Joe: Buttigieg. Harris. Top three ... though whoever runs as the opposition has my vote.

Joe Biden leads Bernie Sanders, Beto O'Rourke, Kamala Harris in latest Quinnipiac poll

Democrats favor former Vice President Joe Biden over his possible 2020 primary rivals in the latest Quinnipiac University National Poll.

The poll found 29 percent of Democrats and voters leaning Democratic would favor Biden if the Democratic primary were held today. Biden has not yet announced his candidacy but has hinted at a possible 2020 run.

Biden bested Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders by 10 percentage points. Here's how the rest of the field fared:

    Biden: 29 percent
    Sanders: 19 percent
Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke: 12 percent
    Sen. Kamala Harris: 8 percent
    Sen. Elizabeth Warren: 4 percent
South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg: 4 percent
    Sen. Cory Booker: 2 percent
    Sen. Amy Klobuchar: 2 percent

The poll, which surveyed nearly 1,400 voters from March 21 to 25, also asked about President Donald Trump. More than half (56 percent) of Republicans and those who lean toward the GOP do not want to see someone run against him in a Republican primary. Former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld, who created an exploratory committee, is considering challenging the president.

However, more than half (53 percent) of overall voters say they will definitely not vote for Trump in 2020 — 30 percent say they definitely would vote for him.

    Other takeaways from the poll:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: 23 percent hold a favorable view of the freshman Democrat from New York while 36 percent view her unfavorably — 38 percent haven't heard enough about the Green New Deal champion. A third (33 percent) say Ocasio-Cortez is good for the Democratic Party while 36 percent say she is bad for the party.

Popular vote vs. Electoral College: More than half (54 percent) support electing the president by popular vote rather than using the Electoral College. The popular vote is more favored by Democrats (82 percent for vs. 13 percent against) while Republicans stand oppose to it (71 percent to 25 percent). Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 by nearly 3 million votes to Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton.

Among Democrats and those leading Democratic, here's what they had to say about candidates' race, age and gender:

Age: 70 percent say age is not an important factor in how they'll vote.

Race: 84 percent say race is not an important factor, includes 75 percent among black voters.

Gender: 84 percent say gender is not an important factor, includes 83 percent among women.

The Democrats favor creepy Joe Bidden and their second choice is SOCIALIST Bernie Sanders.

Put the Democrats in charge and they will make the USA the next Venezuela!!!

"Biden's odds of winning the Democratic presidential nomination according to PredictIt have dropped considerably since Flores' article came out, putting him behind Bernie Sanders."

So according to a national poll - 16% of Americans are racist. While 25% of black voters are racist.

Not good. Both those numbers should be 0.

aren't you curious how that 25% of black voters breaks down?

i mean, why assume they would prefer a black candidate?

I didn't assume that. They're racist no matter which race they prefer. They shouldn't prefer a race.

I really like Joe Biden . He's one of the most kind and decent American politicians of the present day . But unfortunately, he's just too old . He's getting closer and closer to his 80th birthday and Trump, who very well may be in the early stages of dementia /and or Alzheimer's, is four years younger .
Biden would have been a great choice if he were 20 or 30 years years younger .
But the Democrats need new blood . Bernie Sanders, whom I also like, is also nearing 80, and he's just too old . Any of the others, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Pete Bittigieg and the others would be good and would do an infinitely better job than Trump has been doing .
I fear for America if Trump wins a second term. And so do millions of other Americans - including people who usually vote Republican !

LOL! He is a proven liar, and a career politician. He dropped out of his 80's presidential bid (which shows you how old he is) for plagiarism thus he is a cheat, he is a liar, and like all Dems he now embraces infanticide and socialism. He is the worst of America. He was in the swamp while the swamp was still being built.

All embracers of infanticide, socialism, and antisemitism. They are the scum stuck on the boot of America. Trump has given us a booming economy and the greatest jobs numbers in 50 years, he wiped out the ISIS land caliphate, and all indicators are great. Exactly what can these imbeciles do better.

The Democrats have a huge number of imbeciles to choose from and I am certain that they will choose the most idiotic of the bunch.

Elizabeth Warren Says She Believes Lucy Flores' Account Of Joe Biden's Unwanted Kiss

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D) says she believes the account of a former Nevada assemblywoman who said Joe Biden inappropriately touched and kissed her.

“I read the op-ed last night, I believe Lucy Flores, and Joe Biden needs to give an answer,” Warren told reporters at the Heartland Forum in Iowa on Saturday.

Warren was referring to a piece in New York Magazine’s The Cut written by Flores, in which she accused Biden of touching and kissing the back of her head without her consent in 2014 while Flores was was running for Nevada lieutenant governor.

Presidential hopeful Julián Castro, who previously served in the Obama administration, echoed Warren’s comments at the same event Saturday.

“I believe Lucy Flores,” Castro told reporters. “We need to live in a nation where people can share their truth.”

When reporters asked if the alleged kiss should disqualify Biden from running for president, both candidates agreed it would be his decision to make.
