Jesus said--refering to the great Hebrew prophet Hosea--

“Go and learn what this means: [God] desires mercy, not sacrifice.
    Matthew 9:13

A sign was hung above Jesus’ body on the cross.

Although puzzlingly, each gospel writer quotes the sign differently, it basically says Jesus was killed for being “King of the Jews.”

He died for the crime of high treason.

Jesus was declared Lord by his followers.

“Jesus is Lord and Caesar AIN’T."

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

You missed to go down couple verses

2 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

One man sin, one man die.
