[28] Therefore we conclude that a MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY FAITH WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW. [29] Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: [30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. [31] DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: yea, we establish the law.
No problem, as it was the law that made it clear to the people that it was the perfect spotless sacrifice that payed their debt in their stead.
The sacrifice (not the people) payed the debt of death for sin, so the people could live.
Without that perfect and spotless sacrifice, the people were sunk and had nothing to rely on that would satisfy the debt owed.
The law spoke volumes about relying on the sacrifice and not themselves.
    Listen to it.

True, but how was Jesus able to keep the commandments?

Did he do so by his own strength?

    Or did he have help?
