How do you figure McConnell has something to lose by disavowing Moore?

Journalist Grant Stern did some research on Roy Moore's lawyer and found that Trenton Garmon was disbarred (90-day disbarment) in Alabama a few years ago for impersonating a pastor to solicit as clients the parents of a child who'd died in an auto accident. Moore (judge at the time) voted to uphold Garmon's disbarment.

it appears Wizard had meant "ARE disavowing Moore BY speaking out" - this better matches what Wizard then posted as an evidence.

Still, what does McConnell have to lose by speaking out?

OJ Simpson might have done it and you might have convinced a jury of that based on the gloves and the shoe prints and left it alone. But they had to go spraying blood everywhere and then nobody believed anything they had to say that might have been the truth.

Now comes Roy Moore who might really be a creep but he was the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court TWICE (after getting removed once) so nobody is going to convince me that they just crawled out from under a rock and realized that the Roy Moore that is running for Senate is THAT Roy Moore they dated in high school. If the allegations are true then all these women just happened to wait until one month before the election to come forward.

When it would do the most damage.

And there's no time to investigate the claims.

They are going to have to forgive me if I don't believe them.
Times change. There comes a tipping point where the old norm falls and a new norm takes its place. In this case, something changed with the Harvey Weinstein allegations and now people are feeling like they are finally able to discuss what used to be considered a taboo topic, especially when dealing with people of fame or power. Frankly, I tend to believe the accusers. It seems that people who rise to power often have this sense of entitlement that makes them think that they can get away with whatever they want sexually. Clinton did. Trump did. And I think people have had enough.

This is no longer complicated. Roy Moore says the yearbook signature is not his. Allred and the accuser insist it is. It needs to be analyzed by a group of independent handwriting experts immediately. If the signature is his then he is lying and he needs to get out - period. If it is not his, then someone has gone through a lot of trouble to forge a signature and torpedo an election in its final hours. In that case he stays and this turns into a criminal investigation. If either side resists this solution then that in itself is highly suspect. Problem solved. Now lets move forward...

If you look at it, you don't need an expert. There are two different hands there. It was signed with the letters D.
    A. after the name. He was only an assistant DA at the time and wouldn't have used that term anyway. He was involved in some way in the accuser's divorce, which was signed by Moore's assistant then initialed by her. The initials stand for her name. The signature was obviously copied from the woman's divorce papers. Fishy? What? Allred is involved, of course.

Two commenters on the authenticity of the yearbook signature.

MSM is blowing off the issue as irrelevant and bizarre. That tells you all you need to know about whether to believe these partisan hacks so called news.

An attorney for GOP Alabama Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore revealed Gloria Allred accuser Beverly Young Nelson lied when she said no contact had been made between the Judge and herself following the alleged sexual advancement in 1977.

My point was that YOUR take on Wizard's apparantly having inadvertently reversed the intended order of those two words, does not appear to be what Wizard may have meant.
