The one about the Amalekties is redacted. that means it was added latter.

what makes you think we have to regard the OT the same way we do the NT?

Besides, Shelli is banned for good and will never be able to answer your questions. Besides, he had a very difficult time with my very simple question.

The children of the cities and nations were slaughtered by the rampaging Isrealites conquering the Promised Land.

Looking at the developments in Israel in the last week it seems much hasn't changed in 2000 years.

There is also a great video on YouTube which demonstrates that, contrary to popular belief by Christians, G-d actually is pro abortion not pro life. That being true it would seem that most Christians ignore the will of G-d.

As expected, it's just the Settled View striking again.

 I'm really not prepared to choose up sides in TOLs favorite debating point but I hardly think that settled view could be wholly responsible for this video. It's filled with strawmen...and unless one is a full blown Deist (how one could reconcile that with Christian Scripture is beyond me) the video maker would still come to the same conclusion given his cursory understanding of Scripture. I will admit, however, that Settled View makes it easier to get there.

Just read Scripture.

All of the infants living just before the Great Flood were killed by God. The children in Sodom and Gomorrha were wiped out. The firstborn of Egyptian families, many of whom had to be infants, were killed by God's orders. The children of the cities and nations were slaughtered by the rampaging Isrealites conquering the Promised Land. The people of Kadesh in Numbers 16:23-36, with their children, were swallowed up into the Earth by God.

We are not to worship children, nor the state of being within childhood. That is not demonstrated in Scripture. Children are rebellious sinners just like their parents. God is not a respecter of persons.

Shelli.

yes He does. He giveth life and He taketh it. Just as throughout history there have been examples of His judgement, there is a day coming when there will be the Great White Throne judgement and we are all invited.....an invitation in which we cannot refuse...and there will be a trial.....there will be an accuser and a Defense Attorney....all of us will be accused by the accuser...however, the Defense Attorney will speak for some of us......those He does not speak for, those who know Him not, will be at the mercy of the accuser, but alas, he hath none, and the day of grace will be no more, and God Almighty, the righteous and holy One will pronounce judgement.

Death and blood are horrific, but perhaps, in an example of war, and the bloody sacrifice of Jesus the Christ, the only begotten Son of the living God, it merely points out in all of its stark, raw, horror the absolute horror and abomination of sin in God's eyes.

Then, we can agree that God does at His own option kill babies.

Actually, just look at the Noahic Flood. Lots of babies died there. Right? And, when Joshua slaughtered the Canaanites they were specifically instructed by God to kill all life in the towns, even the domestic animals. That included the babies.

So you bring up a year and a half old thread...for what?

I dunno if "God kills babies" is quite accurate, unless you can show this has happened recently. "God has killed babies", though? Yes, definitely. Lots of them.

So. You have something to say about that or what? :idunno:

How do you know there were babies alive when the flood happened? Did you see them?

You just LIED like a DOG!! – Revelation 22:15 KJV –

Death reigned from Adam to Moses!! – That means all were “DEAD”, AND CAN’T BE KILLED!!. - Just the fools who despise the Word of God could say such foolish garbage!!

Which is worse, to LIE, AND BLASPHEME GOD, OR DO JUSTICE AS GOD ALWAYS HAS!!! – Just because you despise God, doesn’t change the TRUTH!!!!

What has this contributed to any understanding of the issue?

Whats is wrong with killing? It is murder that is sin. God is imminently qualified to rearrange His stardust as He pleases. He decides what is just for his creation, man has no say.
