Trump is pro-abortion ... so feel free to apply your analogy to yourself.

Trump would tell you he was a single, never married choir boy IF he thought you would believe it. The guy is a dishonest, thrice married adulterer. Being pro-abortion suits his promiscuous lifestyle.

You need to learn to read better Sandy:

You and WizardofOz have fooled many people on TOL into believing that you promote life, while in reality, you promote a culture of death.

I am not sorry for continuing to expose your posts that show you as being another who is willing to accept abortion under certain criteria. And ... you're welcome.

So the birth of a son of a friend all of the sudden made Donald Trump pro life?

How about his own children (3 as I recall), were they not worthy of Donald taking a pro life stance back when they were born?

BTW, Donald Trump contributed to Jimmy Carter's presidential campaign.

    Trump is a pathological liar.

I think this is a very old thread but as I have become interested in Libertarianism through another thread I thought I might see what happens next .......

The individual has free will that cannot be denied but this needs to be properly harnessed to a rational mind. Therefore some control is required during initial development (Children).

Forced sacrifice is wrong however compromise or improved understanding is acceptable to the rational mind provided the moral core (of the individual as required by society) is untarnished.

Force or compulsion of an individual by another is not moral unless the need for action becomes moral at which time some authority must be consulted.

So I cannot be a Libertarian - I need another authority to establish/support my moral code if I have a NEED to act.

For some reason I get the feeling that the topic isn't new to you (this is gonna be fun).

The individual has free will that cannot be denied but this needs to be properly harnessed to a rational mind. Therefore some control is required during initial development (Children).
"...some control is required during...childhood"? So after childhood, society should let each individual do their own "thing"? Sounds like a recipe for anarchy to me.

Forced sacrifice is wrong however compromise or improved understanding is acceptable to the rational mind provided the moral core (of the individual as required by society) is untarnished.
So based on the moral code of a society, each individual (as long as they have a "rational mind") should make some sort of sacrifice of their values. Let's say that someone's "values" involve something that Libertarians call a "victimless crimes", i.e. recreational drug use, pornography, homosexuality, etc.. Should sacrifices be made by the individual as long as there are no victims?

Force or compulsion of an individual by another is not moral unless the need for action becomes moral at which time some authority must be consulted.
    "Some authority"? Be more specific.

So I cannot be a Libertarian - I need another authority to establish/support my moral code if I have a NEED to act.
"...a NEED to act" on what? More importantly, what is the basis of your own moral code and should government reflect that in laws?

Yet the vast majority of the sentences in my above post ended in question marks.
