Wrong of Chicago's Trinity United, preaches hate, absurdity, and racism, his huge congregation does not go silent with shock, but wild with applause. The reaction of the church shows that such statements were expected and welcome. And it turns out that Barak, one of the brightest men in the nation, attended this racist church for 20 years and was the only clueless member.

* Nate from Las Vegas and John in Denver: Bob gives some fatherly advice to a young man deciding whether to start competing with his own boss in a garage door company. And John talks to Bob about those who oppose the Iraq war because they hate George Bush more than they love the Iraqi people.

Why can't english teachers just let their students take a hall pass to go to the restroom? Other teachers do! Just not english teachers? Do we speak english so informal?

That should read "English teachers...informally" so apparently you had no difficulty in obtaining passes. To be more precise you could have used "those who teach English," as otherwise some dolt might think you meant to reference nationality.

The majority of my class is around thirteen years old. They have five minutes between periods to use the bathroom if they have to. Instead, they wrassle and shout in the hallways until they're shooed into the classroom. When there's a sub, one of their favorite games is to try to get a bathroom pass. Their regular teachers know it and are very sparing with them.

One thing I have learned is that you never give a kid an option that you really don't want them to take.

This is clearly a sign that all public schools are the spawn of Satan himself.

There are also some more sensitive issues which could prevent a child from going in that 5 minute time period between classes. Public school is a terrible solution, and can be traumatizing to some who have to endure it.

That is true. Teachers have to use their discretion. There are students however who will use any excuse to disrupt the class.

Well said! Yes, the problems with public school are many. One fact that stands out with such clarity is that adults do not experience a work environment similar to the room-to-room study style as we have in public school. That situation leads to a plethora of problems, kids being afraid of using busy bathrooms for many reasons. The whole school environment is unhealthily, not to mention what others have said.

I think the first through 8th grad single classroom is the best system and I an glad I was able to learn in that environment.
