No! Why would there even be a difference?

I have plenty of problems with his politics, but truthfully his personality is so awful that 99 percent of why I hate him is just his personality. So by extension, women over 18 who are intoxicated during sex should be responsible for consent, right?

Only they won't let them sign it as when intoxicated, they're not responsible

Apples and oranges. A drunk driver poses an active threat to everyone around them. A drunk co-ed in her dorm may (possibly) pose a danger to herself, but not to the public at large.

Ruining a college guy's life by sending him to prison after she said yes, and making him a registered sex offender for life - x thousands across the nation - is not a public threat?

Why are you assuming that thousands of innocent guys are being sent up the river for this? Even the guilty ones aren't prosecuted.

Under the new rules, they will be. I was just reading an article about how mothers of sons are afraid to send them to college due to this. Not exactly a small fear, to think some girl saying yes, and then saying she was too drunk, is going to put a promising young man on the path to prison and the sex offenders' registry.

Given the reality of rampant rape on campus, no. It isn't. This simply doesn't happen. What does happen, in reality, is that women are raped with impunity and then schools actively work to cover up the crime.

So which member of a gay couple has to give un-intoxicated consent?

The Post analysis found that 55 percent of about 1,570 colleges and universities with 1,000 or more students received at least one report of a forcible sex offense on campus in 2012. Such sex offenses include forcible rape, forcible sodomy, forcible fondling and sexual assault with an object. Colleges report the data to the Education Department under the Clery Act.

iow, 45 percent of colleges reported less than 1 for all of 2012
