My parents were mixed, one Jewish, one an atheist. I was an atheist in HS, in fact when I was 15 or so I decided not to salute the flag; Not because I wasn't patriotic, I was. No, what I objected to were those two little words "under God."

I guess the most important thing I can say about myself is that I'm trying to be a Christian. Also, God, on several occasions has rushed to my aid and done actual miracles. Bigtime. The kind no one believes unless they were there.
