  • My own background is abnormal as well. When you go to a Latin Mass, where you have to go up to the rail to receive the Blessed Sacrament, it is less awkward for those who are unable to receive. Otherwise you get herded through the communion line whether you can receive or not. At my church, St. Stephens in Pensacola, it's a traditional parish but we have a lot of visitors, mostly tourists and protestants. Our parish is very small and many of us are converts ourselves, so we try to go out of our way to ease the awkwardness. So if you ever find yourself in the Pensacola area, I invite you and your family to join us. Either way, I hope that you do go to a Mass somewhere, at least once. The only way to experience the Real Presence, is in the presence of the Real Presence :) Peace brother, Lisa
