Acts 2:34

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand" (Mark 16:19).

How was Jesus "taken up into heaven."

Nowhere is "the Father" mentioned in that scripture nor does it says "how" He was taken up.

Greetings Right Divider,
Nowhere is "the Father" mentioned in that scripture nor does it says "how" He was taken up.
Possibly when it says that a cloud received him that this is both literal and figurative language to indicate that Jesus was taken by the Angels to heaven. Daniel 7 seems to teach this and Acts 1:9 may be alluding to this. Again it does not seem to teach that he went by his own power.

Acts 1:9 (KJV): And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Daniel 7:13-14 (KJV): 13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Kind regards
Trevor

Where do you get that?

Jesus is the Word.

You try, but can't change the truth, the truth that says the Word was God and made himself flesh.

God came as a man. There are many prophets, but only one time did God Himself come as a man.

You say that God is the Father became flesh? What did you say?

John 1:14 states clearly

a. God made himself flesh

b. the Word became flesh

The Son is the Word and the Word was God and came in the flesh. That is all scripture.

Jesus says he only SAYS and only DOES what the Father says and does; and, when you see Jesus, you can say, "I see the Father".

God is the Word and Jesus is the Word. Scripture is the written words of God.

We are not God, but we are to become more and more like Him.

God came as a man. Jesus is the Spirit.

Jesus is Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

2 Corinthians 3:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Those scriptures plainly say Jesus is the Spirit.

Read this scripture:

1 Corinthians 3:16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?

Now tell me, do you have Jesus in you?

The Son is the Word and the Word was God and came in the flesh. That is all scripture.

God is the word, the son is the word and scripture is the word.

Word, logos, basically means message, its literal meaning does not refer to God or Jesus Christ or scripture, but means simply a message.

Other uses are more specific as to what that message is.

God wants us to know about him, therefore God is the message, the word, the logos.

God communicated himself in a message in the form of the written word or logos of God, This too is the message

God knows that it is easier to see a sermon than to hear one so he had a son that also conveyed that message.

Once you realize the logos means message, then all this should become clearer for you

Jesus says he only SAYS and only DOES what the Father says and does; and, when you see Jesus, you can say, "I see the Father".

Since Jesus always did the Fathers' will not his own we learn about the Father. The only thing we know about the son's will is that he emptied himself of it so he could do the Father's will. thus we know what the Father's will is thus we know the Father.

God is spirit.

John 4:24

The Lord is God, My lord is Jesus Christ the son of God.

The Lord who is God is spirit. Jesus who is David's lord is a man

I have Christ in me

That scripture shows, CLEARLY, that Jesus was the SON BEFORE He came to earth.... before the world was.
Jesus was God the Father before coming to earth. Who do you think I AM is in the Old Testament?

So, YES, you do deny that scripture if you insist that the SON did not come, sent by His Father.
What?
FALSE... God is the Father AND the Son AND the Holy Spirit.

Those that deny that Jesus is God use that scripture that you're abusing to deny the deity of Christ.

Jesus is God, and since he is God, then he is the ONE AND ONLY God who is the Father.

Do you not know the scriptures and believe them?

God came as a man to experience life for us. No one but God could do what He did.

Don't be silly and say that once I realize logos means message. EVERYTHING that Jesus said is God's word. Of course he gave a message. Jesus taught the way.

God is spirit.

NO, HE WAS NOT! Repeating your story does not make it magically come true.

I showed you, CLEARLY FROM SCRIPTURE, that Jesus was WITH HIS FATHER before the world was.

Joh 17:5 KJV And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Just let the scripture be true instead of try to force your story on it.

Jesus is God, and since he is God, then he is the ONE AND ONLY God who is the Father.
FALSE. Believe John 17:5

By your perverted logic: The Holy Spirit is God, and since he is God, then he is the ONE AND ONLY God who is the Father.

Do you not know the scriptures and believe them?
Clearly, I do and you don't.

Jesus was with God and was God. Jesus was with God with a body before coming to earth and being God with a flesh body.
Just let the scripture be true instead of try to force your story on it.

Take your own advice.

By your perverted logic: The Holy Spirit is God, and since he is God, then he is the ONE AND ONLY God who is the Father.
The Holy Spirit is God.
You call that perverted?

John 4:24 For God is Spirit,

The scripture that says the Holy Spirit is God: Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and withhold some of the proceeds from the land? 4 Did it not belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? How could you conceive such a deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God!”

How was Jesus "taken up into heaven."

Indeed, he was taken up.

He did not ascend under his own power, but was taken up.

However, he clearly participated in being taken up.

The best I can say about how? is by the power of God in action.

There have been other events like that. Philip being moved from one spot to another. The disciples in the ship, the event where Peter walked on water, they were moved to shore quickly. and Elijah and the chariots of fire come to mind. How? I am not sure if the word gives any details. God does not explain many things. How does God make a blind man to see? Do we really want to know all the details? I don't. I am sure that is far too much information for me. I would rather joy and rejoice that it happened.

As for the written word it is the written word.

There are similarities of course, but similarities do not prove identity.

Jesus as the son of God should resemble his Father in some ways even as any offspring should have some resemblance to their parents

However, to say that children are identical to their parents if foolishness.

Remember, Jesus had two parents. God and Mary. Jesus also resembles his mother in that Jesus is human and of the lineage of David.

However, Mary was a femaie, Jesus was a male

There is difference in gender.

Jesus is not Mary, and Jesus is not God.

If you wish to continue your line of thinking please consider this

You are a human, humans are animals, snails are animals, are your therefore a snail?

God is the word, the logos, the message

Jesus is the word, the logos, the message.

Scripture is the word, the logos, the message.

God authored scripture, but is your Bible God? No, but God is the source and sole originator of God's word.

God is the Father of Jesus Christ, but God is not flesh, God is spirit, John 4:24. Jesus is flesh, Jesus is human.

God chose to communicate His himself by various means. Hebrews 1:1-2

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

God did not become flesh, but the message which He wants us to know, the knowledge of the truth I Timothy 2:4, became flesh.

One reason we can know who God is so well, is because Jesus Christ, His son, lived God's word perfectly.

Thus we know God is compasshionate. God heals, God is light...

Your theology does not change what John 1:14 states

I say exactly what John 1:14 says.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word was made flesh. Have you ever heard that about any other prophet of God's?

Jesus's name is the Word of God.

Now that was twisted.

I show you with scripture how Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the one and the same God who is the Father, and the how I came to the truth was what is perverted?

So you say it is perverted HOW I came to say the Holy Spirit is God is what is perverted, but not what I said is perverted? I used scripture. Now since you say my logic is perverted when I say the Holy Spirit is God the Father, how is it you don't think it is perverted to say the Holy Spirit is God the Father?

You say my conclusion is perverted. My conclusion is that the Holy Spirit is God the Father.
