What Does the Bible Say about Wine?

The point was not to exile ourselves but rather to "(1 Thessalonians 5:22) Abstain from all appearance of evil." It's not only the amount you may or may not drink it's also the where & when. If you're in a bar ordering an alcoholic beverage what does that do to your testimony?
An "appearance of evil" is communicating to others that they are not right with God if they drink wine.

Why would drinking a glass of wine in public appear evil?

How does one determine what appears evil?

Jekehoe,
Have you ever had a storm on Friday night and woke up Saturday morning to find sticks all over your yard? If so, did you pick them up?

Serious question.
